Forged engine rattle thats concerning me

Just outside now and double checked all the valve clearances and they are all spot on. the noise can't be coming from the top then. I personally think that the noise is the pistons slapping about as I have just held a screw driver up to the block and you can hear it but nothing if you put it up to the head. Obviously the bearings are at the bottom and make a different type of tapping, or knocking rather. If this is right, then can I carry on driving it or should I just chuck it back through the blokes front room window from whom I bought it off?

it still doesnt sound overly bad to me imo,

the only worrying thing is the loud ticking that sounds like a manifold crack or something,

also the phone video qaulity doesnt help, for example



thats the noise of my sportrak engine, in this vid it had covered 155,000 miles and the tappets need adjusting, theres also another noise that i pinned down to being the air box loose
