I've tryed to give Beatz some help over the interest for sorting this EMU problem out but im 99% sure i know the problem but i would need the car and EMU here to make the changes, I've explained all this so hopefully we can get him running sweet again and no starting issues.

Many Thanks

iv said it once & ill say it again, check JP13 & JP14 (iirc) ie the jumpers in the emu for the water temp/intake temp.. if they are not on "open" status then thats ur problem...

i had seen the map & in all honesty i wouldnt have payed shit for it.. (from a tuner's point of view) well there is alot left to be desired...

just my 2p

Well Kon u no im greatful buddy for looking at my MAP and helping me try to locate the issue. :) you gave me a better insight and good understanding of it.

I have been speaking to Nick and he is almost certain he knows what the problem is, although it will involve a road trip for me again and a remap, but as long as my car will start.

this is why you pay someone with real experience to map you car, theres alot to risk to say the least.. anyone in theory can fuck around and attempt to map a car with the right software ect, knowing what your doing and making it run right is another story..

let us know your findings and i hope it all gets sorted for ya dude :drive:

What gets me is, in the 4months that Iain has tried to phone/email.

A reply on a forum pops up in 2.5 hours??

Thought he was to busy?

Hopefully we can sort Iain out but can i just say guys, although this has been a bad experience, Ed is a experienced mapper with alot of knowledge, please don't get to personal on this as im sure its just been a problem his end and i guess most other customers haven't had a problem, i know theres afew had there cars mapped by him before on the EManage units.

Please lets focus on getting Iain's car running spot on for him as thats most important!

nick this seems to be getting all too common people having probs with fusion.. i agree this shouldnt turn into a slaggin thread but think its good this has been brought to people's attention so members know who they can trust to play with their pride and joy and who they cannot... as we all know theres alot at stake when mapping a car.

have you found the cause of the problem yet?

There's no need to keep posting here to resolve the issue, this can be performed between those involved.

I've not noticed it being a common occurance with people having issues with Ed or Fusion Motorsport. And from what I can see (http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21111&highlight=fusion+motorsport) beatz is very pleased with his result disregarding the hot starting issue, as with others that have used him.

I don't think it's fair to be having a stab at his mapping ability has been thrown into play, Ed also maps CB80's and he's mapped various GTti's over 150bhp (Including mine via the previous owner), which probably makes him the most experienced CB80 mapper in the UK.

This is thread is about the service experienced after to which there is no excuse for ignorance. I'm sure both would have rather avoided.
