Hate day drunk/pissed people!!

I work in a take away right, i served this idiot who came in with a can of beer in his hand, pissed outta his face! Come in and ordered a chicken chow mein and curry sauce. He paid for it,but asked for discount cos he needs to get more beer..... i was like... no. So he was like fine. Meal was ready, he left the shop, came back in few minutes after asking why he ain't got his chicken curry, chips, egg rice and curry sauce. I was like....... u didn't order any of that, he was like i did and i paid for it!!
So after a few back and forward same convo, he said fine, i want to order those items, i said ok, blah blah told him how much it was and repeated his order several hundred times (litterally!!! i had to, as he wasn't processing what i was saying or telling him).
He said he wasn't going to pay for it as he was 70p short, so i said fine u aint getting the food. He got all angry and said u wont let me off 70p!! I said...... anyway else you go and u was 70p short or whatever you will get the same response, he then hurdle abuse at me, saying iam a w*nker and a t*sser etc... i was shocked. :flame:

So he was harassing some of our customers and saying we are ripping off for food that he paid for and not get. It was just a headache!! Mind you, none of the male customers wanted to get involved, one just said... i just here to get my food and dont want to get involved. Which is reasonable.
But a lady customer was kind enough to help me out as she can see i was in destress. Then the drunk guy called her a council whore and said he was a multi millionaire (you can say anything when ur drunk right) ..... oh my god, in the end we called the cops, cops didn't come at all, how crap was that!! But the drunk geezer left as my brother told him to leave the shop i think he was scared the cops would come in the end too.

Seriously i dunno how to handle these people, i hate drunks!!!! :flame:

Sounds like a right toss pot! Must have been well annoying, weren't you tempted to just chuck norris his ass? He wouldn't have seen it coming at all if he was that wrecked haha. Reminds me of when I was working in Doncaster the past couple of weeks, staying at a pub there and the owners son would just be there all day drinking, proper wreck head....

worst type of people to deal with. unfortunately they are not processing the information you are giving them and are just hearing what they want to hear.

A short sharp smack in the mouth usually sobers them up fairly quickly but unfortunately that wouldnt be a great move in your situation. I guess if you look at it like this... the vast majority of your customers are happy and polite right? Then you know you are doing things correctly and doing a good job so if you get a drunken idiot every once in a while its just one of those things in life that has to be managed. Could be worse... imagine the off license he goes into to get more beer later that nite when he is even more pissed!!

That's really not so good Shelly and very poor that the police did not show!!!

Its so wrong that ppl think they can treat you other ppl like it.

Everyday we have ppl in our cells that think they can behave this way and more often than not they get away with it as the police do there jobs then some idiot in a suits says to let them go its just wrong!!

i know how you feel,

when i used to deliver chinese i would deliver to drunk people houses and they were a nightmare.

once i nearly got beaten up, the guy was pissed out of his head, and said he was told it would be with him in 15 mins, and i got to him in 20 mins, he was proper raring to go, lucky for me his wife and sons held him back as he was a bit of a bit bloke, and i was just shocked by the whole situation.

some people just cant handle there drink and want to get into a fight

yeah tell me about it, i mean i did say to him that if he went into the others around us like chippies, blockbusters, coop etc, they would've said the same thing for not giving the money over for items. He just said i was a really nasty person etc when i did nothing wrong. Basically i was wasting my time with him because he wasn't listening to what i was saying in a polite way.
Was a headache for me as he refuse to leave. I bet he has been a big trouble at other places too. He was telling me that his wife died today and that's why he's drinking...... but later on, he was like my wife is screwing at me because you haven't given me the food to take home for the wife and kids..... i ignored him a few times.

that sucks, i used to do deliverys and had the same problem. some fast food places that are open late have bouncers at nite so none of this happens

i think it's sad the amount of abuse people who work in the service industry have to take i work in a parts shop at the mo and i get general abuse every day! guess thats just sociaty 4 u :p

it pisses me off how the public are with each other nowadays. No1 helps each other out anymore cos theyre scared of getting stabbed or shot! Sum bois started trying to jump me on a bus last year and the bus driver just watched in his mirror lol
