its very rare you hear of police checking cars for insurance and going into the model etc, they would just check the cars insured, as long as its not insured as something crazy! normally most glanzas are registered as 1.3 starlets when imported or gl's. you could insure it as a starlet as its stated in your log book, however the insurance wouldnt see it that way. its a different issue if you wish to claim for your car, in which case the insurance would inspect the car, and believe me they can tell if its a turbo! (i work for insurance) its just a risk you take, but you have to ask if its worth it!
ahh thats good news!! i couldnt give a FUCK wether i have to pay if i crash or something... i dont care.. aslong as im insured to drive on the roads, thats all that matters... and if i do crash into someone, i would pay for their car to get fixed and pay for mine to cuz the insurance wouldnt cover me if they discover its a turbo.. soo, for example, i type in the registration online and it comes up Starlet GL 2007 model ... but its really a 1997 or 1998 glanza V... if i'm driving around and the police pull me over and check the engine, what u think they would do? =/
