How do you mean conflicting Ricky?

because there both altering the air flow signal, i hit fuel cut, if i hit 1bar boost by 3500rpm, it only happens at 3500rpm not before and not after. its bloody annoying so i have to keep it above 3500rpm when blasting it about

lol, u poor sod, didnt u pay someone to fit it?

i would like to stop everyone from buying hks fcd's as they truly are crap. it would be nice if the traders never sold them either cos of how rubbish they are. but ho hum

long story, I did pay someone to fit it but they never did, got ripped off by Cyp garages, don't really wanna go into it. I've had a little run of fitting things myself lately and thought I'd add the SAFC to the list but I've fell at the first hurdle. Reckon the garage has fitted my FCD wrong, they told me I didn't even need it and that a Glanza cannot run @ 1bar. Not the most knowledgable chaps!

lol well take the fcd out and rejoin all wires that were cut, and then start again.

that would be the best way, it is rather easy and i bet u could do it. just take ur time and dnt rush it.

See, thats what I'm unsure of. Do you cut wires or simply strip a bit of the insulation and splice the FCD/SAFC wires into the original loom? If you do cut the old wires how do I know which to reconnect where?

the colours will be the same for a start, each wire has a different colour.

u should to do it properly, cut the wire, then strip the ends, add the wire u need to and rejoin. either by soldering them back, or by using insulated crimping terminals.

So the original loom is replaced with the wires for the FCD/SAFC? Is that right? That makes sense to me coz then the ECU is only getting its info from the FCD/SAFC. Am I on the right track ricky or am I proper confused.com?

Lifer
you are on the right track if you follow the wiring diagrams u should be fine.

some of the loom is spliced into i.e the power wire, and some of the loom is replaced i.e the map sensor wire

Yeah, that makes sense Ricky. However, just found a new problem! My ECU is a 3 plug which apparently is for the auto's but my car is a manual! lol :s
