If you are using Mozilla firefox you can instal the addons;
> try Better privacy ( now has super cookie protection )
> Always use No script ( you will be surprised who is trying to run script on your connection)
> Disable track my location ip in what ever browser it is.
> The old way with IE was put {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} in the registry to disable the super cookie
> Use a generic name for your computer name when you first instal.
> look at your cookie settings for the browser- make sure theses are set to protect you.
> use a backup program separate to win restore point that lets you restore the point independant of windows. ( some programs if you dont update them or block them will use restore your setting back to before you blocked them . With your own restore you can easily keep your computer the way you want. ( assuming windows update is disabled after your system is working well )
> Probably more things but thats a good start.
You used to be able to use scroogle to browse which stripped out the google tracking cookies this has been closed down ( blocked out ). I wonder why?
> you can pay for a proxy secure connection that is safe.
> use virtual computers to surf the net.
> use different browsers for different types of surfing to reduce your expose and protect your banking for example.
> Recently discovered in win7 a program that sends your ip address to microsoft tracking you evey time you connect to the internet there is a stop for this also.
There must be other easier ways to do this ? I just wish I had a cookie monster too.
