Thanks sheldon- he wasn't allowed to sell his car on forum cos of this. It's the principle that annoys me not the amount. He's buyin new toys and owes me money!

my car doesnt have a decat but when Ive been driving pretty hard and then either moving slowly in traffic or driving in a carpark in second when I come off the accelerator at low revs I often get a few nice pops
if im not mistaken you have an apexi exhaust valve ? that could have a small leak that will result some pops
easiest and safest way to spit flames and pop?with NO damage to the engine?
if you have a decat,and prefferably an exhaust system (e.g. blitz nur spec) there is normally a small hole for fitment of a baffle in the back box exit,get a 10mm or 8mm bolt and sharpen the end of it on a grinder till its nice and sharp,bolt it through the baffle mount hole so that the point faces upwards,what happens is the tip of the bolt will get hot whilst driving,the tip of the nail is used as an ignition source due to the nail being hotter than the surrounding area.give it a few revs and any unburnt fuel will ignite off this causing a nice flame and popping sound to go with it
i know it seems hard to believe but it really works.

When my car was overfueling i used to get flames and pops,when it first started i thought a speed camera was following me due to the flash behind the car,many sleepless nights lol

Failing that jarban has the best and safest idea,get a good ecu (motec etc) and get the tuner to to do it,once you've done that though the anti-lag pops are deafining ,( i mean instant headache loud)

give it a miss iv popped my headgasket twice in a month. iv learned my lesson so stopped doing it

a car shudnt backfire, it means your engine timing is off and out of sink with the fueling ect getin it mapped rong mite work or do a timing belt urslf mite help, it aint good for d engine although it dose sound animal:L:L.. get a R1 if u like backfiring you can buy a lil spark kit for the flame spitter shud b one on ebay at the more jus needs a spark plug bt it will leav the rear off ur car black with shit, & burnt paint defo wudnt b lookin 4 flames dudes, nt unless my eg was a dirtbox :L
