I'm still thinking of selling up (again)...

Problem with the 200sx's is running costs. 2.0l turbo's are thirsty things. Not only that, an S15 is WAY out of my budget!

If I got one though, I'd get the s14a...

you could think about a civic typr r or a teg type r, no turbos to worry about slightly more grown up than a starlet with better handling and a better reliability record.

CaL, I appreciate your inputs, but I need to be realistic. I very much doubt I can pick up a Sierra Saph for 3.5k or less, unless it's rotten. Even if I could, I won't be able to afford to run it (If I could, I'd just buy an ST205 Celica GT4).

I'm looking through Pistonheads now at Civic's and Integra's. They're quite cheap and plenty of them. There are also '53 plate Accords on there for 3k! Mental money, that's a shit load of car for the money (Parents have a '53 plate 2.4 iVTEC Accord estate)!

I'd love the earlier Accord Type-R's, but there aren't many about and they're still out of budget :(

Having spoken about this to quite a few people (Who reckon I'm off my tits to sell her :homer:) and had a damn good think about my current situation, I've decided for the time being to keep her and take her (mostly) off the road :). As much as I want something like an AE86, I think I'd be silly to risk selling her and regretting it later.

So, I'm going to buy a cheap derv as a runabout and drive the Starlet as little as possible to save as much money as I can. I've got a payrise coming in December too, so by then I should have saved myself enough to be able to sort out the nittle niggley things with her that bug me and get a few other things done too.

So, for now, she's staying... :quadgt:

That's another thing making me keep her. I really wouldn't want to get something slower, but to get something quicker than it, I'd have to get something like a tuned GT4, or 200sx, Impreza etc etc which I just can't afford to run, so I'd be worse off than I am now.

Starlets really are a no brainer :homer:

im as bad as fishy and we have chatted about this on msn. as soon as i lose interest i sell up because otherwise i know i wouldnt give the car any love. i like to be happy with what i drive. personally i think the shitter option is a good one as long as the insurence doesnt cost more than the car or its wasting more cash. but on the other hand driving a shitter will give you time to look not rush and buy anything cos i know how inpatient you are

nough said homes

Im the same the list of cars iv had is to be honest quite stupid for my age HOWEVER... I always said i wanted to experiance plenty of different cars which i have done and when i lost interest sold them on and tried something else. I always wanted a Skyline and when i went out in my mates gtst for the first time that made my mind up, but i couldnt get one at the time so tried a few different cars 200sx and another starlet. Now iv bought the liner im more than happy with it FOR NOW.. i really do hope i can keep the car longer than five minutes because i love it for what it is not what it can be etc etc..

Go for something you know will make you happy dude.
