just to throw a spanner in the works

I run a tdo4
boosting at 1.5 bar
hks f-con s
running 225 at the hubs so about 250 ish at the fly

set up and mapped by TDI
remapped by Abbey motorsports

using standard 295cc injectors
both tuners said they were fine and not maxed out at all
330cc injectors were supplied but both declined to use them
two years later and still running fine

logic was that injector size needed to be above bhp

wasn't overly impressed with either of them tuners personally,

but by doing simple calculations i fail to see how the above is the case.

my current map on my car tuned by abbey motorsports with 550cc injectors is showing that @1.6bar on td04 the injectors are at 75% of there duty cycle.

this is rather obviously not correct, as the injectors must have been setup incorrectly.

i was just under the impression that stock ones would be reaching their maximum on duty cycle...i am planning to run a rrfpr/fcd and apexi safc2 to trim rich spots of fuel etc, i thought getting 360cc would put less strain on the fueling system, as the stock injectors would be struggling to run a td04 at 1 bar, someone correct me if im wrong lol

it wont struggle much at all, 80% of people on here run td04's @1 bar on stock injectors with the fuel pressure turned up a bit without issues.

Just to throw a spanner in the works,

I run a TD04 at 1.1bar on standard injectors for over a year qith no issues.
Only fueling upgrade was the walbor 255 pump and the Mines ECU.
And it fueled into the 10's at points.

god this has all got abit out of hand hasnt it! lol was only a general question to get some advice, didnt wana cause world war 3 lol.......i think the general consensus then is to:

run up to 360cc on a safc2 - but no more
then 460cc or 550cc on proper management i.e emanage ultimate, when i go for more power in the future....

thanks for the info people

That bout sums it up mate. Bigger isn't always better, stick to using injectors that you currently have the ability to control properly and then upgrade them at a later date if needs be.
