I was driving back last night from work to the GF's house through some country lanes. As I was taking a corner in second gear the car just opened up and went like bat out of hell!!! It was so much fun and so axilerating. It put back that smile and I mean I had a massive smile. When i picked misses up from work she said why you smiling so much what you brought lol!!! Told her and she was over joyed that now she dont have to sell her corsa hahah (yet!!)

I dont look at the car in a great way but the thrill it gave me has put the car back in my good books for now!!

These engines don't really require any run in period. Straight out of the packet, as long as the engine is up to temperature your good to go.

We have had problems with the ETCS (electronic throttle control system), but as far as I'm aware, only with the R18. You need to remember, its the ECM that decides how much throttle the engine gets, your foot only plays a small part.

Have you tried driving with the VSA switched off (it only works upto 60mph anyway)?
Did you notice any difference in performance?

VSA was on but i noticed it just seemed far quicker!! :p

The Audio!

Well on Saturday i dropped my car off to Sextons in Southampton to have Alpine Indash double din unit and sub and amp fitted.

Here some of the pics they sent me whilst they were doing it!

It took them 2 hours to remove the old head unit as you had to remove all the dash and centre console and the clips were really stiff. After they removed the unit and connected the new DVd player up they found that the climate control display goes blank because it connects into the back on the Honda stereo Honda really dont want you to change parts on this car lol!! They connected everything back and wired up the sub and amp. The car now has to go back into Sextons on Saturday to finish the job as they are going to hide the old head unit behind the dash so i can still see the climate control screen as at the moment I have to guess what temp and setting the heating is on lol. Oh well hopefuly it will be sorted this weekend.

The screen looks amazing and you get amazing sound quality with films with the Fusion sub and mono amp

well cost me alot of dough but is well worth it especially watching gone in 60 seconds while stuck in traffic yesterday lol

Cheers guys :) Just got to do the amp rack saturday which is going in the floor of the boot at an angle and put old HU behind dash so display of a/c still works. Next is Focal audio speaker upgrades.

Sextons I went to is the one in Southampton near St Mary's FC

Hope you dont end up selling now as it seems you have started to spend a bit! Funny how you were not satisfied with the speed to decided to add more weight :D

sounds have always been my bag tbh. The place that did my audio is owned by best mate so get very good discounts.

I cant sell car now as I been talked into keeping it by gf! I been told to save for a house lol!! God i am under the thumb :(
