Green lamps to the front and rear mean an emergency vehicle (doctor oncall cars for example) so it'll only take a police man in the wrong frame of mind unfortunately. I only realised yesterday the JDM wing lamps I had for the front corners of my auto actually light up green so I think they will attract cops too.

You could get some translucent plexiglass or whatever and then get an opaque vinyl with the characters cut out and then overlay it on the plate. Any sign place would be able to do the vinyl bit and you could cut the plate yourself.

Edit: In fact a sign place should be able to make the whole thing because they use translucent plastic in signs that are backlit all the time.

Hmmm need to investigate that a bit further then Rich, can't seem to find anything online that fits the bill!

In 4-5 years of using a glow badge only one policeman questioned it, as soon as i explained its a standard feature he droped it.
