So you don't need a panhard rod if you don't plan to go very low and don't carry rear passengers?

i had my v slammed to the floor and what and noticed no problems with handling, since i have raised the car 15-20mm and it feels like the car crabs on the motorway sometimes i have had a alignment done but i was told i need a panhard rod

IF you lower an EP you need to get yourself a panhard rod. The rear axle gets pushed out of allignment without one as the standard one is fixed. An adjustable one allows you to lower your car then re-allign the axle.
The rear ARB wont help with your allignment problem, but it will help with the handling.

How low are you talking about Rory? 40+ mm??? I mean what if I lower just 30 mm on the rear, do I still need to replace a panhard rod then?

People say its negligable, but id rather know my car was tracking 100% spot on. Hence ive had one from the first time i lowered my car

A thicker bar will have a higher torsional stiffness so will give even less roll, but as with coilovers you don't want everything to stiff for road use or the car won't handle any bumps.
