The person I was replying to mentioned sophisticated boxes... so I gave him examples of sophisticated non-traditional manuals which I have driven which are exciting cars to drive.

On the point of old school autos, whilst I have never owned one I have driven plenty and the difference in the boxes is significant. Some are lazy and crap to drive, they change gear at the wrong time and just do not feel nice.

To talk about all autoboxes the same way is to wildly generalise. Its like saying all front wheel drive cars are crap or all rear wheel drive cars are great.

One of the best autoboxes I have driven in a long time was in the new nissan maxima. It would destroy my glanza, handles like a beast and the gear change is rapid and changes just when you want it to. I had one for a couple of months and it was a sad day when I was giving it back. It was a great car to drive, fast, great handling and great fun.

Typically you find when people talk about autoboxes and how shit they are they are talking about their experience driving an old ford scorpio that their daddy owned or something. All autoboxes are NOT created equal.

All of the above said, I love my manual Glanza and gear changing makes the drive more involved but I wouldnt say autos are not fun.

oh man ffs....lotta jealous people on here 2day lol. big boost aint for every1 u know. the blokes already said he cant afford a twin turbo atm so why not get a mint example n/a if it comes along and u like supra's.

like i said earlier. who on here can say they own a supra. td04 or mega power starlet might win in a str8 line, but ile get over it when the chicks crossing the traffic lights give me all the attention :D

you can share your opinion but you could also do it in a respectful way. This site is supposed to be a place for encouragement and conversation. You also have the option of not replying if you dont like the lads new car.

As for you thinking he "fucked up bigtime" because you would rather have a td04 starlet... why should he consider what you would rather have when he is going to buy his car with his money?

At the end of the day if we all adopt the attitude you have towards members who bother to share their cars with us then people will stop doing so, thats not what we want to see happen on here.

Soooo getting attention from chicks is more important than the performance of the car? ... Sounds like you should buy a subaru :p:p:p All well and good until they hear the drone of an auto and lack of turbo spool/bov when you pull away and get shhhmoked by a tiny hatchback! Then they realise your just the ultimate poser lol









...I'm only messing around, please don't take anything too seriously! Like I said before, I actually like the wheels and think it looks clean! Hope it does'nt damage your wallet in everyday running though mate thats what i'd be concerned about.
