yeah i was reading it uses c++, one of the most programing language used in the world. so anyone out there can add to the code or modify and share to the world!

i was planing building the kit as i already told you chris but imm not sure im up to the job to build a full kit.. i dont want to mess it and have to bin it. also would be easyer to get it ready then just wire it and solder or choose jumpers for my setup!

think if i was geting one i would just want it plug and play sort of thing without having to build it any ideas what a setup costs for the ep82?

Some parts are C++ others are assemply which is a faster code than c++ when it comes to talking each other.

If you go for a pre-assemply kit go with something that has all the components soldered on. Even if you will never use a hall system take the unit with everything installed. So if they ask you what ignition wan to run or in what car you want to install tell them that you will deside in a later time.Hope you get what i mean.My english succs....LOL:p

you have to do some work dude.. its not totaly plug n play. but you can get it built already... then you are looking at wireing it up and seting it up.

also im not sure if you can use all oem sensors and oem ignition system! if not you can go for the ford edis system.. cheap and good.

im not sure an all dude im still looking into them!

I remember on here there was a fella a few years ago going on about how good these units were - He was from Denmark or Finland...Basically everyone laughed at him (because no body had a clue about them) even tho he described it in great detail...i'll try and find the link as i remember reading it. funny how now people are asking questions about them..:)

Sorry mate... i dont think it is like emb or link or similar. Forget the plug and play. You have to investigate everything but you can find a lot of help around.

The way i see it the cost will not be over 300-350 euros!

many people over here think that good is only some big brands and that has been tried and tested.

will do so is the mapping on them pretty easy when there up and running:homer:

Tunning is the same on most ecu.

If you download megatune and use it you will get an idea how easy it is.

Also if you read the megamanual has a tunning section step by step.
And the ms has an aytotune clever function to reach you to a level.(no mirracles tho).

Read the megamanual twice! ...mmm i mean twice...:homer:

mine is 16x16, but if you dont use the barometric map, you combine two maps together and then you have one 16x32 map :D i'd say its enough.

mine is the MS 2 extra

"MegaSquirt-II (or MicroSquirt) uses one or two 12×12 Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) tables for tuning. MegaSquirt-II (or MicroSquirt) uses the AFR table in different ways, depending on the EGO feedback option you have selected: "

ref..

The most fundamental parameters are in the 12×12 volumetric efficiency (VE) table(s), the 12×12 air/fuel ratio (AFR) table(s), and the 12×12 spark advance table.
