mine is 16x16, but if you dont use the barometric map, you combine two maps together and then you have one 16x32 map :D i'd say its enough.

mine is the MS 2 extra

With which code you have 16x16 table aga? For using the barometric correction you need an additional map sensor on the board.Do you have two?

lol. i dont run MS. but fur had some success with it.
he turboed a stock 5efe with water injection holding
a bar of boost. u can pm him but i dont think hes on
here much anymore.

I am wrong then. I though you run ms mate!
Fur he is not much over here anymore cause he has a different powerfull car at the moment.

We use megasquirt alot here in denmark. I use it on my starlet 5efthe, witch my wife drive everyday to work.

We use it on race cars too.
The most powerful 4agte in denmark, 638hp on stock pistons and rods(if not the world) is running megasquirt...

We have a V8 running 2 GT45 turbo and 1200hp at the wheels, also running megasquirt.

I could go on and on, MANY cars here in denmark

They are just as good any many orther very expensive ECU's..
The funny part is, often people say that the procossor is not quick enough, but the megasquirt 2 processor is 5 times faster than AEM ECU.

So just go ahead and get the megasquirt, i promise you will be happy :-=

BTW: I can supply you with a 4efte map you can start the engin up with, then you only need to fine tune it :)

I use stock sensors, and just made adaptor from megasquirt to stock harness...

i dont know what code you mean. i dont need barometric correction, i'm gonna combine the two maps to have one big one.

this starlet is my budget daily project, the glanza has a power fc :)

i need to sell some stuff... when i do il get the ms and harness.... think just a pinout diagram from an ep91 would be enough to match it with the MS one and start soldering? ;)

can u still perform a diagnostic test like the stock ecu allows?...if so, how is it done?--same te1 & e1 bridge or u need to access the MS system

Dont think you can at least with the tratitional way. Also i dont think the diagnostic plug will retain its original position (at least no in operation)
but using megatune you can watch real time every sensor on its own and also datalog everything and exam in a later time. From my point of view datalloging will be more precise than a simple code in the dash.
May i am wrong tho and you can retain the diagnostic in some way...:p

as chris said you wont be able to do a diag test as your not using the stock ecu!

what you can do if you do a plug n play plug with the MS is remove the MS and put in back stock ecu for the diag test!

It would help a lot if there was somekind of tutorial,
so many of us are willing to fit the ms but dont have enough information.
How to fit ms to 4efte?

me and my mate spent alot of this year building a mark1 golf with the mark 4 egine (1.8 20v turbo) car is set up on an a mega-squirt ecu and its never let us down, i would rate them to you.
