Mine and GT_elaine trip to Thor Race Engineering 56k warning.

First of all Massive thanks to everyone at Thor Racing!!

They bent over backwards for me, they made sure my car was running right before I left. They took their time to roll my car twice even though they have closed and locked everything away after the first session. Most other company would sent me home after the first roll. They wanted to make sure I had the right readings before I took the long drive home. Made them work well into the evening

So MASSIVE Thank you to everyone up there.

And anyone who needs a good tuner. I would recommend nobody else but them. I have been to quite a few tuners around devon/hampshire/london and all pretty much Suc£ed

If you didnt know who they are a Toyota specialist and also work on alot of nissans. They do work on other cars too. so give them a ring if you need work done.

When I was bored just standing there. One of the chap took me around and showed me their engine workshop. Lots of Altezza enigne there in pieces. and you can even see their own fully rebuilt Engines. I even saw there future demo car. a Carbon fibre wide arched Altezza

My results.....

177WHP, they said it will be around 205-210 bhp. around 262.5bhp per tonne.
I still need to relocate my filter and get a new downpipe cos this one is rubbish and causeing alot of power lost. Once I get them done then I shall get a wee more power

The air filter alone is restricting 10bhp They showed me on the other graph which only produced 120WHP

good stuff chi, bet your happy with the results and its a safe amount for standard internals, how long did it take you to get ther? what put you off triton in the end? i think i may pop up ther when i get a fc and i didnt realise they had bolt on rollers, is that dyno graph right it sais it was at 20:17

I had to drive 170mile to get there so 340miles return.
I left at 8am and got home at 11pm. All worth it thou

converty is about 10 miles away according to tom tom and it's a great city. Time fly by.

My spec is the general TD04L, FMIC, filter, boostcontroller, Sard RRFPR, 330cc injectors, walbro pump.

no you numpty its iain with the 270bhp starlet, mike is called muchmore, i think i will take my car up when i get the td05 and power fc because i think they are one of the few places that can map it, dont like the sound of 170miles ther on base map tho

I was talking to a Thor racing worker at JAE and he seemed to be a top bloke, answered my questions even while he was setting up a CTR on the dyno!

I really cant stress enough how great these gays were!! They really new there stuff I will 100% be taking my car then when/if I ever get to the mapping stage!!

It was a bit of a drive but well worth it, the city is only a few miles away and really nice place!!

Iain I have seen how you drive so it will only take you an hour to get there lol I really think you will be hard pushed to find a tuner that is a dedicated as Thor.
