My 3rd boost light isnt coming on?

Hi mate, No its not coming on in any gear at the moment??

do you have any other boost guage ?? seems like you have a leak somewhere
Yeah man got boost guage in my glove box, yeah i have a slight crack in the manifold would that be the problem?

yup crack in the manifold would do this , i had a crack in my turbo housing before and i had to turn the boost controller up to 1.8 to get 1.4 bar , i say your only getting about .4 bar instead of .65 , assuming your still on standard boost

coming up on two years , nothing mental compared to some cars on here but when i go back to tuners in feburary as it off the road now for winter should see nice bit over 300 hp
that's mental bhp for a 1.3 lol little pocket rocket!! would love a fully forged one but my wee one will do me for now!! dont want to kill myself lol

3rd Boost Light Doesn't Come On

Did you sort your 3rd-boost-light-not-coming-on issue..?
I have a stock Glanza V that has the same problem but does not have a crack in the mani or have a solenoid bypass. It's the P-Sport edition that comes without power mirrors or power windows. It doesn't even have the centre dash clock! At least it's got air conditioning
Since I only just got the car, I have not added any mods to it so it's fully standard except for a Blitz air filter and an unknown-brand sport exhaust. It boosts fine all through the rev range, just that my 3rd boost light does not come on. What other symptoms should I check for?

If it's standard then the boost solenoid probably hasn't been bypassed, preventing it from hitting maximum boost in 1st and 2nd gear (as already said in this thread). Loads of info on here about it

Yes. Had read about bypassing the solenoid but mine is the P-Sport version of the Glanza V which I believe comes without the solenoid (located at the front right of the engine bay, where the ABS pump would often be). Boost light never comes on in any of the gears throughout the rev range.
Perhaps someone else has this experience too..?

@ FLetty: my glanza is the p-sport edition so i don't have the option of lo/hi boost. it's always set to boost hi.. any other ideas..?

just to clarify, only my 3rd boost light does not come on. stage 1 & 2 boost lights come on fine in all the gear ranges except first. do i have to red-line it to get the stage 3 boosting..?

You definately sure that you have not got the option to bypasss the solenoid?
Find a thread with pictures so you can check actually where it is. My glanza didn't show the 3rd untill the solenoid was bypassed.

@ ASHep82: i'm certain it's not the LED that lights the 3rd stage boost indicator that's blown. it's an LED in the first place so the likelihood of it blowing/burning up are next to zero. took my dash cluster apart while i was cleaning it a while back and did all the necessary diagnostic tests on the circuit board that controls the boost lights. they all lit fine and the connectors are all clean as a whistle. so, in my case, i doubt if it's a case of the LED being dysfunctional. while i was in there i changed the LEDs to light up in different colors for the different boost stages: stage 1: red, stage 2: orange, stage 3: green, instead of the all green as stock.. now if only i could get stage 3 to be lighting up.. :|
something i want to add is that i don't red-line my engine and often shift by about 5,000 revs through out the gear range until top gear. could this be a reason that i don't see my stage 3 boost light. do i need to gun it, pedal-to-the-metal style to see stage 3 boosting..? coz i really have gone over all the checks and verified that all is ok, both engine and electricals. it could be something else that i'm missing..?
