yes mate due to unforseen circumstances ive had to put the project on hold for a year or so but its polished undersealed and locked away lol so just put it completely to the back of my mind for a good while now but it will suddenly appear with a forged td04 sumtime down the line

Finally! some progress

ive got the car at my mates house making good use of his garage.

heres how she looked just as i started

engine is ready to come out with the wiring, exhaust removed and everything disconnected underneath

so time for the wiring, the bit ive been dreading!

na loom out, fte loom in!

dash back in place, turbo clocks fitted

got a few little problems, the indicator stalks dont marry up to the loom and ive a couple spare plugs i cant make sense of but the hardest part is done!


was planning on painting the engine up and cleaning a few other bits since i didnt have an engine crane, but i got bored of that and just dropped the engine out. With no crane i erm... improvised

my mates mrs wasnt too happy about me lifting the garden path but its out!

not long to go now!

btw theres a nice low milage jdm 4efe sitting here ready to be scrapped so if any1 wants it come get it asap, its mint you could eat your dinner off it!

yeah so i never got anything done before i went on holiday lol
back now tho and i spent a few hours with the car yesterday, got the old head off and everything painted up and cleane, Greame also brought my headbolts round but i havent fitted the head yet. this is where i am now

note the head isnt on, just sitting in place for a pic lol, some1 hasnt put the service bolt in the cam on the new head and its out of line so im getting some help with that so didnt want to take the cams out to put the head on until ive sorted that.

didnt get any before and after pics but everything looks 10xs better.

ive taken off the fly wheel and used the gearbox sandwich plate from th n/a and refitted it with the new exedy paddle clutch, going back up there today to get the gearbox and transfer box fitted, might even get the engine in tonight! still waiting on a few bits to come tho so i might have to do the timing belt when the engines in the car which is a pain but just cant wait to get it in.

the speedline competition 2's are getting refurbed this week too there going dark bronze along with the rocker cover and a few little bits in the bay.

got a fair bit done yesterday, mainley because greame came and did the majority of it ( thanks mate)
got the new sump fitted with the n/a oil pickup, head on with the new gasket and new timing belt kit. gearbox and transfer case on and sat under the car ready to go. i forgot to get some pics as we went was gonna call it a day at this point but ended up carrying on

side exit roughly lined up

also dropped my wheels off for a refurb should have them back on monday

wont be long now
