well you'd think that wouldnt you.. But not all the head gaskets they make are the same design so that may be why some people have issues with them on certain engines and some dont.. the problem on the sr20 gaskets was there was no collapsable sealing ring around the combustion chambers, so makes sense that any imperfection in the head or block surface will result in some blow by or worst case gasket failure..
most common size cometic make is 2mm though, which is a bitch.. the good thing is they use fixed rings, ie reduces the chance of gasket failures from cylinder to outer passages.. they do make them for starlets already.. i know a good 5 ppl that use them locally.. on ep's..
