Of those the Focus RS.

It will also hold its value really well. Look at how much escort cosworths go for;)

Escort cosworth is a completely different ball game. These will not hold their value.

Look at the MK1 Focus RS now, dirt cheap cpmpared to when they first came out.

Those old cosworths in mint condition are classics.

A lad in work just bought the white RS, must say it looks good in the flesh. Don't know about fuel economy though, he only stays 5 mins from work so its not an issue with him.

What about a diesel IS220 (new shape), nice comfort and style, and better economy than the above. About 50mpg.

hi

these are amazing, weird at first having 7spd but once you get moving its easy to enjoy, as i work for bmw & drive 2-3 of these a week yes there only 500hp but quicker than you`d imagine due to the gearchange and initial response, the rev counter and speedo are almost sequenced in relation, no drop off on gear change, more reasonable would be a 535d m sport torque is the key word. lol:p

Only 500BHP? what planet are you from :haha:

I imagine it to be Very quick with 500BHP even though it weighs 1.8 tonnes

The Volvo V70R which my friend has is ridiculously quick for the weight of it.

That's 1700kg, with 300bhp.

1800kg with 507bhp must be insane!

why not go test drive them and see which one you prefer?

Ultimately they are all going to feel slow compared to the evo you own...

Partly. I'd love to claim ownership and credit over that, but 10% is plenty! ;)

Comparatively, yes, but I personally want some refinement :)

Drove the older shape M5, and was really impressed... might have to see what these are like.

Took a Focus ST for a day from the dealers and it wasn't too bad, so definately going to have to look how the RS sums up against it.

Focus ST = boooooooooo

Focus RS = yaaaaaaaayyy

Completely different cars, RS is far more performance orientated. (whilst still acceptable for daily use)
