I work for Greenlight Insurance who specialise in modified and performance cars.

Im a keen car enthusiast and was recommended this site by a customer when we got chatting after I quoted for his highly modded track car. I did try and contact the admin previously but wast sure who best to make contact with.

We currently deal with a number of other owners forums/clubs and were hoping to come on board this forum as a trader/sponsor and allow members a discount off of our policies.

We can cover all types of modifications including roll cages, Nitrous and even engine swaps. We can offer agreed value insurance at no extra cost and even have the option for Track Day Insurance from £45 per day.

We can cover Northern Ireland postcodes as well.

We can also offer reduced mileage policies for those who cover less than 7500 miles per year. Our rates are very competitive rates starting at £212 full comp on modified vehicles. (Mirrored NCB, Company Car NCB and Commercial/Motortrade NCB are all acceptable)

If someone could point me in the right direction as to who to speak to on the forum about us coming on board as forum trader it would be much appreciated.

Here are a couple of examples of the feedback we get on other forums:

Thanks again for you time

Hi Neil,

Apologies that no-one has contacted you directly mate. Dylan (GV1.3) handles our trader section and he's been offsite recently. If you follow the instructions in this thread (Clicky) that should reach him.

I've seen you guys operate on reallymeansounds locally for a long time so welcome aboard.

Naturally we have to keep a tight rein on advertising from unregistered traders (hope you can appreciate that) but certainly feel free to offer any advice you can on the open forum.

Cheers,

Jay

Green light is the main reason I bought another starlet.
I was looking to change the car to something small and petrol, yaris, vti etc. Just out of curiosity I did a online quote for a basic modded gt turbo and they phoned me the next day with a ridiculously low price. After that the hunt was on lol

Any update on this we have filled the form out a couple of times now and its been 18 months and not had a reply.

If you could just confirm eitherway if you would like any additional traders on the forum we can at least put this to bed.

I would of thought that having an additional insurance provider on board would benefit the members as it gives competition for business hopfully benefitting members with better prices.

pretty shocking service tgtt,

a year and half later and still no reply to the chap?

i'm pretty sure if you were trying to get hold of a trader on the forum and got this sort of treatment, where you were constantly ignored after various emails and form filling you would be pretty fecked off, and no doubt you would tell them to shove there business up there arse.

if i were greenlight i would have given up after the first couple of attempts, so kudos to them for trying.

Can only agree with that post Rick, I think you cover some very valid points.

As the only admin left standing it falls to me to apologise on behalf of the staff. There is no point offering excuses, the only way to make up for it is to be a lot more proactive in our trading account management, email checking and overall attention to detail.

With this in mind I will review all our trading accounts and generally tighten up everywhere else this month.

I strongly believe that when it comes to TGTT our members know a lot more than we do so I welcome any feedback both positive AND negative. Yes it's hard to read at times (sometimes the truth does) but I'll never stand in it's way. Needless to say if anyone else sees something that needs fixing please do not remain silent.

ah jay,

that makes for some sad reading, that it has come down to 1 man to run the forum, as well as your day job aswell as your starlet sideline job, and have a life at the same time.

your a great man jay, and a great assett to TGTT, if there was a way i could help i would, but i'm pretty retarded at most things lol

they get a fit when you mention its jap import they hang up on you
