Oil pressure

I hope so, it does go back up to normal pressure but abit concerned if i cant boot it if the pressure is lower than normal. Im using 10w40 Toyota stuff BTW

From the sounds of it, the oil has sheared. Get it changed.

Prior to my own oil cooler setup was installed, even after a heavy blat around the circuit, the oil pressure stayed around 25-30psi. That was running Silkolene Pro 5w40 stuff.

No it drop down by around 4-6 psi, for example my idle preassure is around 25psi but after hard driving it goes to around 19-20 psi.
No oil cooler, last oil change was around 2700km ago

yep. even without hard driving i noticed mine that droped cos of the weather.. we ahd a sudden change in weather where temps are going high :S

lol if it dropped that much, i would have be throwing the car off the cliff if the bearings went
May be upgrading the oil at the next service, any one know what is the next velocity up when choosing oil?

Out of interest, does anyone know what the standard Glanza EP91 oil switch is triggered at?????

it comes on at around 6psi,

by the time the light comes on it's far to late and the bottom end will already have the damage done to it.

so whats the use of the dash light then? if the damaged would be already occured.

know of 2 people that drove with the oil press light on till home. maybe 5-7km

and one had problem with oil pump and the other with a heavy leak.

after aprox a year still working good. could be that they where lucky.. dunno.
