Opinions on Celica GT4 WRC?

Hmm, seems everyone knows everything.. especially the guy with the auto.

Fancied a GTFour instead of the starlet and for what I paid for the EP82, I could have gotten an equivilant Celica. The only reason I didn't go for one, was the insurance, and at 19, the Starlet breaks the bank, nevermind a Celica.

They were/are an amazing car, a very good friend of mine bought one at three months old with 450 miles, and still has it to this day!

It's had various components replaced, but he's just racked 100k miles in it, and it's still as good as the day he bought it!

When the premiums lower themselves due to my age, I will most certainly be looking for one!

To drive, to some extent, you can feel that the Starlet and the Celica's are made by the same company and in another light, the two cars couldn't be more apart.

The 4x4 system is fantastic, but at standard power, when released, Toyota did have issues with the rear diff's failing at around 20k miles. This was really, the only major issue with the vehicle's, thus, if you do what at the time, only feels like over service it, it will run forever.

The handling out of the box is relatively awesome, power delivery is fantastic, and they are also driveable in an everyday situation.

The WRC model, which has been said, runs from chassis numbers 1000 to 3500 is the homologation special built so Mister Saints could bone it through the forest, is the definate choice if you can afford it.

One thing to remember about these, is obviously don't opt for a rough one, which is slightly cheaper, because the money you save short term on purchasing what you feel at the time is a cheap car, will be vastly outweighed, by the bills that you receive in the first six months.

All in all a strong 8/10 car, with mounds of potential, style and respect.
