Performance issues after hybrid, manifold, actuator, filter re-location

If I went for 1bar and the FPR, I would still also need the HKS fuel cut defender as well?

lol I might be back soon Toby! :)

I realise the install will be having an effect on my 1/4 mile times, but it's a compromise of having both, audio has always been a love of mine and this time I have created my install with trying to keep the weight of it down. I know If my Glanza was stripped out, no install I would have been running faster times.

I don't want to create a 1/4 mile monster, but at the same time I want increase the performance and the drive ability of the car, which I have already done.

yeah kev the minimum you want is an rrfpr and hks fcd (although i recomend the jam fcd) i would also very strongly recomend you change that intercooler, to either a front mount or at least an rx7 tmic

what do you have for you install kev???

i'm putting one in mine, what stuff you using.

my car is stripped, and plan on putting a 10'' sub in the spare wheel well, components up front, and the mono amp and 2 channel amp in the 2 rear footwells. all just jbl stuff, 300 rms sub and 60rms comps. putting the amps in the footwells for centre of gravity, lol.

although going to be making it, so that when i do go to pod, it can all be taken out as easily as possible.

I was going to have a front mount fitted at Toy Tuning, but our Holiday at the end of this month got in the way financially lol!

I would defintaely like to do more and now at least I have a good base to go from, but as we know it's always money that gets in the way of these things.

My install can be seen here: - click me!

I have Rainbow components up front in custom made pods, genesis amps in the boot along with Genesis Mini subs.

If you want to keep weight down and want bass I can highly recommend the Genesis Mini Subs I have, these even sound great in a parcel shelf and will even out perform many 10" subs. I have 500w rms running through them.

I did them out of 18mm mdf.

Really easy to do, one sheet of 18mm will do you. I think used 4 on each door. Once cut, use some wood glue to hold them together, let it set, get some long screws to hold them even more secure and give them a rub down to make them all smooth and cover as preferred.

You have e-mail Toby :D

Yeah that won't be helping Kev, mind once you get it mapped with a little more boost, a good chassis setup, a little perfection and some juicy tires then you will be into the 14's easily. I think a low 14 second would be possible with the above and a stripped out car, even a high 13 with good management and 1.1 bar.

Wait...so you ran on the QTR, set a time, built an install and ran again with the install?

When I ran at Shakespeare I had the false floor in, the only addition in weight over and above that was the 12mm build and another amp.

I've never really stripped out my cars on the 1/4 mile as I wouldn't drive about like that on the road.

60ft: 2.6268

you're 60ft times are what's letting you down, you're not getting off the line quick enough.

i have the same problem, 200+ bhp, near 100mph terminal speed but i have difficulty putting the power down off the line due to my own inexperience and the way my car delivers the power meaning the best i've ran is a 14.9 with a 2.6 60ft.

i also have an ice install, 2 amps sub, 6 x 9's full interior and spare wheel.
