Dave is 100% top draw.. i think i know who's correct in this "battle" after reading daves reply.. and okay maybe the wrong one was sent by accident but after all were all human and its not as though dave wont replace it with the one you wanted..

dont try and bring dave down like other traders.. he is one of the few decent traders left on here..

Dave is a top bloke. Any order i have had with him has been 100% accurate and in good shipping time.

Mistakes happen from time to time and I think its better to sort it out via PM's instead of name bashing on threads.

Posts like this are pointless you should have just picked up the phone or sent a PM entitled ''Urgent needs attention''.

If you ever have a problem just PM a trader or if like Dave has a telephone number and can be reached 99% of the time to if not he will call you back.

Knowone should have any reason to doubt Daves ability ! i for one certainly do not and never have.

Posts like this are an absolute last resort imo, he is hardly going to screw you over for a radiator cap !

I also agree i think Daves service is 100% he also went out of his way on many occasions for my mate Neil on his old GT, best trader on the site in my opinion:)

Having been a member of many car related sites over the years, I can honestly say these sort of threads turn into absolutely nothing in the end, lots of posts saying 'oh no they are the best, never been let down etc etc', against the posts saying 'they let me down, recieved wrong item, rubbish service etc etc'.

As has been said, if you have any problems, your first port of call should be to the person/persons involved, most of the times these things are so trivial and are easily sorted.

This site, as I have said before, does seem to be very well moderated and as has been pointed out above, they are keen for everybody associated with the site to get nothing short of 100% service. If all avenues have been explored and you are not entirely happy with the resolve, then contact 'admin' explaining what has happened, up to the point at which you fealt it necessary to contact them. Admin, I am sure, will then put forward your queries and may even arbitrate on your behalf.

The thing to remember here is, traders help to make the site what it is and naming and shaming over what could be nothing more than something trivial, may make the trader feel that his reputation has been tarnished and that they cannot be bothered with the hastle that comes from undeserving negative posts. This may result in traders pulling out, which has a major impact on other members on the site and on the site itself.

This isn't to say that posts about problems you have experienced with traders or other members should not be posted up, but maybe if the admin are willing, posts of this nature should be put past them first?

I am sure that if any trader or registered member was to be continually brought to the attention of the admin. Admin would indeed make an appropriate post to inform other users of these issues, once these claims had been substantiated.

Also a serious issue, for instance the recent thread, would be allowed to run on site for everybody to see what has happened and in the appropriate action to be made from the admin side, as was done.

I do not mean to detract from your obvious unhappiness with you recent transaction however, it does from an outside perspective seem a very trivial issue of which a solution should not have been difficult to achieve.

Companys, traders etc etc , do make mistakes from time to time, some do make more than others. But one thing no trader can be aware of or have control of is your own circumstances at the time, for instance, if you order a part for a car that cannot be driven without it and you recieve the wrong part or there is a longer than anticipated delay, this would upset you more than if it was just something that you wanted, a sort of treat to yourself maybe. An error occured but was made worse by your own circumstances.

In business a company is judged more on how it deals with mistakes, errors or whatever you decide to call them, than its everyday business.

As this case has been posted up for all to see, there will now be many people who will have made note of the problem and it may have some influence in there decision to use said company in future, this seems such a trivial issue, which would be best left to be sorted by the parties involved, for this reason and in this case, I would suggest that admin remove this thread.

If the situation is not satisfactory resolved then that would be the time for admin to allow a post to be made.

Sorry for the long winded reply and sorry if I have over stepped the mark as a new member, as said these posts go no where and do more harm than good.

Don't apologise for replying chap, it's good to see that even though you're 'a visitor', you've got the time to reply (even if it borders on being entered for this year's Booker prize :p).

As most people have said, posts like this don't really do any good, and I'm sure that those who have read this probably agree that the best course of action in situations like this is to communicate with the parties involved so as to get the issue resolved.

So... It's time to put this thread to bed where it belongs...
