i dont believe standard vs standard the corsa will win, corsa is heavier, and standard they old redtops prob make 140ish, i know there 150 at new, but they do loose it over age,

f16 box is up for the redtop engine, the f16 is a strong box, and is actually better for draggin the redtop than the f20,

only time will tell, but my money would be on the starlet as its not standard is it

All depends on the driver(s).

But I'd say the Starlet as well, maybe not by a lot but winnings winning. ;)

My mates one only had an exhaust system and it was definitely faster then a stock starlet. especially on the motorway. Its the responsiveness as well as the good torque from the engine. Starlets rarely produce 133BHP quoted stock figure either. He pulled away from a few starlets when he had it.

The starlet in question isnt stock so it will be close to call.

Dont underestimate a redtop corsa there fast wee cars. If its a good conversion and healthy engine it will be hard to beat with stock boost.

thats the thing tho, i would agree, i feel the starlet aint that impressive 3rd and 4th gear, but its wont be much with them on the 1/4

i would race and standard redtop just now on a 1/4 or that, and would be very confident in gettin it

but only the strip will tell folks, we'll all have to wait on the results, as idrees said, most of it is down to the driver, and how good of a launch you can get

True say that, i wont disagree there.

Looking forward to "times" more then anything as that will tell alot about the driver. Stock starlets are normally around 15.5-16 seconds whilst the red top corsas will get in the 14's most cases....

Good luck to the starlet though, beat that dam vauxhall!! :drive:

i told you the corsa red tops were fast. The have no problems accelerating past standard starlets. And yours isnt standard either...

Good going though, maybe some more practise runs in with better tires and you may be even with him

yes redtop is fast but dont think thats a good time considered it is fitted on a cors (which is a light car ) and with nos , as i said before mine ran 14.4sec best and thats on a big and heavy car and with no nos so i would have expected a bit better from the red top

I dont go by the times in malta and compare them to over here.

14.4 you would need around 180-190BHP from a starlet GT in most cases, thats with a very good driver as most will not even get that. Red top corsas over here wont really break 15.0 sec in completely stock trim.

If you lived over here and went to many drag events you will see exactly what i am and everyone else from UK is going on about.

I had a little race with a corsa red top (who beleived i didnt think his was a 2ltr, such a dick!) and he won by a cars length and then went on to tell me how un-reliable starlets were etc lol. anyway, im please to say i kept up with a 2ltr in my 1.3!! surely they should find a better 2ltr engine to stick in their shit boxes lol
