think i saw hat go today it didnt hang about. was it you in the white gt? running mid 15s? i raced sat night as it was colder (and cheaper lol) i managed a 13.7 @103 on my last run was well chuffed. i left it with the for sale signs on it today tho. was a brilliant weekend

im not makin excusses but the 1st race i got a crap startr due to the tyres i wasnt liking them at all, then the second run we done i was beatin him till like a idiot i missed 2nd i was running consistant 15.4s but the tyres were crap i know i can beat my personal best so the next time im up pod prob jap show im gna have decent tyres on and my tracking done just to best my personal best

nah ive got a silver glanza mate, have you got the white glanza with the side exit exhaust?

yeah that was mine sitting there. i remember seeing a silver with the black bonnet and cool front bumper it looks sweet. you got a pretty good time. wat i found helped was no burn outs and about 17 psi in my front tyres and running with water on my intercooler and running at nite if possible. best of luck next time. with a TD04 you will smash him lol

14.4 you would need around 180-190BHP from a starlet GT in most cases, thats with a very good driver as most will not even get that. Red top corsas over here wont really break 15.0 sec in completely stock trim.

I know i was told that by the guys on astramkII.com that in the 5 years he has been going to santa pod he didnt see any astra doing better than 15.1 BUT I had a special gearboc close ratio gears with 4.1 diff which no astra in the uk has and thats what made the difference NOT the downhill track

i dont think you need 180 - 190 with a starlet to do 14.4 as with 190bhp i was doing 13.8 and with 150bhp i was doing 14.0 - 14.1.

You cant really say for definiete thats what made the difference. You can say it helped but you cant say that was the soul reason the difference 0.7 seconds faster as thats hugley faster.

I meant over here you need that power in a GT to get those times. In malta its evident its very different. To break 13's over here you need TD04 or the likes, around at least 210-220BHP......... And thats a high 13. And then you get "damage" AKA daniel in malta cracking out 12.5 in a 222BHP GT :eek: :haha: :haha:

i managed a 14.4 with about 150bhp but that was a one off super launch lol however i did manage to pull constant 14.7/8 with around that power. does make me wonder why other dont seem to even break into 14's with 170+ lol

mods where cat back system 10psi and striped out rear - that was a loooooooooong time ago lol

Nexia claimed to be doing 14 - 14.1 with 150bhp i was just stating that those times are possible in an equally powered car outside Malta. I know Alf is in America so high track temperatures may have aided the times but still the difference between 14.9 and 13.8 is huge

mine was running very lean thats why it did that time( so lean that when i added 2 turns on the hks actuator it busted the piston) , no one in the uk would map it so lean so no one would run that time with that boost .

So if you were running very lean, you would have been pushing more then 150BHP... Because we are comparing power, not AF ratio. So if leaner you will be higher power, Did you have it dynod?

Max power comes at a lambda of about 0.9 (arf 13.23 roughly) unless he was only talking about it leaning out more than about 12afr or something
