The TD04 is a very capable turbo in the right hands , as we spend a lot of our time tuning Scoobies equipped with the TD04 we know what to expect and where..
I have mapped a standard engined UK turbo Subaru with a standard TD04 @ 1.4 bar and it made 310hp , I fully expect Waynes Starlet to be capable of that kind of power at the same boost level...
We have advised Wayne to go and put a couple of 1000miles on the engine now before we turn the wick up some more...

Martyn - Get him down there ASAP mate, when Wayne hands over the keys for my test drive, I'd prefer it to have over 300bhp... :D

Trust me Mark , it's terrifying now...The pick up in 5th is awesome , far less lag than I expected which shows the head we did him is working a treat....Would reccomend having the head worked to anyone wanting big figures from their Starlet...

very well done in that case.. you guys(enginetuner obviously know what you are doing) especially with the TD04.....

They are good.

And it helps that martyn had a starlet him self :)

But other than that, they are good at everything all round.

The head work includes pressure testing , surfacing , porting and polishing and knife edging of the ports and some minor combustion chamber work ..The cost for a head to be worked would be £500 + vat.....

Engine Tuner is so far from me, but I hear great stuff about them and see great results from them all the time! God dam...should I make that 8 hr round trip!!!??

EDIT: Dam, its a 10hr round trip!

Im just impressed with the turbos capabilities on the 4E... i didnt think those results were possible but hay, the evidence is there and is a cracking result to say the least.... :)
