Perhaps their dyno is just 'figure happy'.

Nice result regardless. From the graph it looks like the TD04 is right on the limits there, do you have a boost graph too?

Here you go.

You map motec????

Well when i get my car sorted its in need of a remap... Im running a Motec M4 so you saying you can map my car? do you "road map" the cars and what prices do you charge for a mapping session?

thanks in advance....

dan

Yes Dan we certainly can , we charge £240+vat as a rule for any first time map..
I choose to map on the rollers in a controlled envoirenment where I have £70,000.00p worth of equipment to tell me whats what , following this I take extensive road tests to check for det , driveability etc...
I find my way leaves no holes in the map and no stone unturned while looking for TORQUE...
P.S I'm secretly looking forward to doing yours as I have fancied a thrash in yours since seeing the start of the project....:p

Nice result  Think ya need to wack some cams in there for the torque to match with hp. Whats the traction like come 4200 revs? :homer: :p

You cheeky so an so :p :p

Nah thats great Martyn....... Well i personally dont think my last map was all that great from the dyno reading i had a flat spot at just over 4000RPM, not really impressed...!

So seeing the results of this fellow member on this thread and various others ive heard good things from it may well be very worth my while coming to you :)

Well when ive got my car up and running(Hopefully only being the turbo) which im currently in process of stripping my brothers car and putting the turbo from his on mine(still the CT20b unit) I will give you a shout ;)

Cheers for the info...

As ive said before wayne top result, i need to come down in the new year as mines run in now and on fully synthetic oil, we will have to meet up and compare sometime! As for Martyn and engine tuner again great results from a 4e on a td04! I think i should get some commision for my emanage experiments lol!

229hp? Is this from a seperate run? Boost holds well.

enginetuner: How you fancy tackling a 3 pot GTti running an Omex? I don't need anything mapping yet, but a few more future mods and that may well be the case :)

Well flywheel figures are just a calculation, it could be anything depending on what he has set up ;)

I was expecing the boost to taper off a little in the higher range but it doesn't. Which suggests this car needs more boost thrown at it. The headwork has improved VE so much that it's breathing very well all across the range (Which is expected I guess).

Lots more power to be had (If that's what he's after) with more airflow in the higher rev range.

ALL rolling roads can only give an estimated flywheel figure...The losses tie in very well with what I would expect to see at this level....

As for tackling a GTti on DTA no problem , when you're ready give us a ring and we will book you in....

About 19% transmission losses in that calculation. Obviously it's only a calculation but 15-20% seems 'fair' for FWD.

All I was saying is that, an outlet can change this to make their customers 'happy' if you see what I mean - I'm not implying that you're doing so.

It should be used as a benchmark more than any other reason.

Thats why I only look at WHP...Thats a lot of power still for that size turbo and engine combination. Also what was the outside temperature?
