Your problem is 1 MILLION % the stock efi pipe.

Remove it and you will be able to hold boost and get much more top end power.

Still using stock efi pipe, althought the a/c is gonna get ditched wen I'm back in the UK and the air filter will be front mounted.

Ricky I do have an HKS actuator but what do you mean when the safc is tuned? It is!

is the safc tuned? so you fuelling is spot on?

just seems a bit low on power that is all.

It poses a huge restriction on the turbo inlet, and will cause the boost to drop off at the top end, giving poor results :)

Yeah cheers Ricky! The safc was set up by a garage downtown and the correction level does change when I drive so I can only assume its set up properly.

Is removing the a/c a big job Dave? Could it be done on a drive with a jack but no axel stands?

Personally, I'd never go under a car supported entirely by a jack :p axle stands are the very least imo :p

Apparently it is an easy job mate, but I've never tried, so I can't really comment :p But I'd imagine a jack/axle stands a few spare hours would get rid of it!

Well I'm sure my mate has axel stands and I've got all day with nothing to do.

Can i chop down a bit of the efi pipe to use that to front mount the filter? i don't have any samco's or anything.

You probably could mate, but it'd be a bit ghetto, and won't remove the most restrictive part of the intake (where it meets the actual turbo inlet).

Worth a bash though I'd say, especially if you enjoy you're creature comforts (like me lol)

Just realised I need shorter belts and shit so can't do it today. :( What exactly is the belt on the ac for? I'm assuming it must connect to something important?
