What is everyone going on about a dodgy mot...
I have been getting so many calls about this but didnt get a chance to read until now... still havent read it all as its too long and need to get to work.
Any way the car did come in for mot and failed on several items, these things were fixed and mot certificate was printed out....

The things it failed on was minor and was fixed there and then at the mot station. The car was taken from the garage and been involved in a front end smash as the customer bought it back to us asking what to do.

Why is it you people just jump to conclusions without even hearing the full story, there was no dodgy mot involved in this, you think that i would risk my licence to pass a car and then lose my job for fuk all.

The garage that i work at is no back street garage or somat, we work to a high level, we have 10 workers there, 3 mot testers and hopefully another tester soon. We do so many mots a day and you think that my boss wants to lose his business over a £1600 car?

I dont think so....

sham not having a go - but the "minor" things it failed on, are still present - and what about the mileage?
Or are you saying the car failed, was repaired, then restested and passed, but when involved in the accident, this accident caused for the same issues that was failed on the mot to become a problem again?

You haven't answered how the car managed to do such a pathetic amount of miles in a day, and also how near enough identical damage was done to the car after "leaving the station" as to what it failed for on the MOT form. Not to mention the tyres being 100% illegal.

i dont think you would be doing it for f all. id imagine you and akki have some sort of agreement. money or otherwise.

and no doubt your boss will be pissed about this especially if the garage gets binned over it, but hey your fault, clearly the faults on the car still existed after the MOT. it was crashed after the test? the likelihood of that is something similar to winning the lottery and just as funny as Akki attempts to prospone the envitable. mate your going to get banned here id imagine.

making up stories now will probably make it harder to straighten things out in the long run:/

anyways... i'm glad you got your money back matt and i know you needed it but giving the car back at this point was the worst thing you could have done in my opinion... :(

You have got rid of all the evidence, you should have took photos had a couple of reports done and come down on both of them like a tonne of bricks...

Would have got more than you £1600 then due to compensation...

2 front sidelights were inop so they were changed

exhaust was welded up so can get emisions passed

Both fronts Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively wipers were replaced

Horn does not function
horn was fixed
Offside Front Seat belt retracting mechanism defective
Nearside Front Seat belt retracting mechanism defective

all work was carried out accordingly, i probably messed up the mileage with another car, the customer has 7 days to bring the car back to get it corrected. Its up to the customer to check all documents before he leaves the garage.

Another one blown in from seatcupra.net

Having read all of this from start to finish there's two points that come to mind.

1. Akki - you crook. Whether it's by deception, deliberate provision of misinformation or just a slack attempt at customer service, what you did was still bent.

2. Sham - fair post but why did it take you THIS long to respond bearing in mind the nature of the accusations. If it was me i'd have been on here pronto and got this cleared up. Out of interest can you explain the discrepancies between the two MOT sheets and explain how most of what was wrong on the first one was still wrong despite being 'fixed' on the second one?

Finally and this applies to both of you!

People buy these little cars to thrash the heck out of them, that means they're more likely to fall foul of any weak spots on the vehicle. Selling anything like this knowing that it's far less than 100% never mind legal is tantamount to manslaughter. Clearly you have far less conscience than the rest of us mere mortals.

Glad Matt has his money back but it could have been so much worse - frankly can't believe Akki drove the thing back, that said, after reading the thread even that doesn't surprise me.

Ultimately it's buyer beware on the second hand car market, especially with imports and as others have correctly said, whenever you're buying something, pay for the AA/RAC to inspect it and take along a mate that is handy with cars - even if you're buying from a trusted and recognised trader there is no excuse for not being thorough for your own peace of mind.

@ Sham - Im sorry to say this but that is a load of crap. Your digging a massive hole for yourself each time you post. The car was CLEARLY illegal and it is infuriating that you are continuing to deny anything bad has happened here. There is a massive amount of evidence stacked up against you.The thousands of people all over the world reading this can see it so just give it up. You and Akki could have killed Matt and his child and you seem to show no signs of guilt. Not only is Matt extremely lucky he didn't crash it but so are you and Akki. You would have been up for manslaughter for this.

Think about your actions before you do them. You should never be allowed to touch a car again in my opinion, which is is also probably everyone elses.

I work for a law firm in Manchester and i hear and see similar cases of this but nothing this bad.

u guys were a while in repling because you had to correlate your next web of lies.. here it is......no1 has bought it.

feel sorry for Cole now, he was sticking up for Bradford lastnight and you guys are making the place sound like a even worse hole than it probably is.

These guys should get no respect for what they have done.

The disgusting thing is they can't even come clean and admit it. Just caring about the £££££££££ in there pockets and not about peoples lives.
