Well the standard one will have just the low boost in 1st and 2nd, so that would be slower for sure!
Paul_JJ; said:Standard GT would have 6.9 sec I think the glanza around 8 sec as it's heavier.
Paul_JJ; said:In my opinion going over 200 bhp on these cars [or any FWD] is not worth it!
Yeah they do beat alot of cars granted, but the likes of say a 350-360BHP Evo would cause it alot of problems.. And thats not hard to achieve...
only a glanza that has boost restriction.
there isnt any difference, the glanza has the CT9b, which is made to accomodate the very very slight weight difference
disagree with that.
i do agree that a well set up 250 bhp starlet would keep with 330 up to 60.
a 300 plus bhp starlet is at home from 60-140, and in my opinion, would need something special to stay with it.
Do you know any 300 bhp standard car from the factory - FWD?
I do agree with you that after 60 mph more BHP would help a lot, but unless the car is build for the track only - what's the point if we have 70mph limit in the UK? And if you build the car over 300 bhp for the track only it would be cheaper and faster and safer to buy and EVO - that's my personal opinion of course!
Also, I'm sure that a standard GT would be faster than a standard Glanza - can someone confirm this?
there was a vid on youtube with the glanza against the gt turbo and they were very evenly matched.the glanza just pipped it at the end but that could of well been because of the driver.it was keiichi tsuchiya.
all you hear is " holy fuck" and for me, that reply is enough to consider the starlet to have served its purpose.
soon as i read that, i thought Focus RS.
seems you have already been educated on the rest paul.
i agreee with most things said here, having had a high powered starlet, i have caused EVO's, scooby's,supra's and skyline's problems, and i see it like Iain, they expect to just pull away and disapear, and when they dont, i have only ever had one reply when talking afterwards, soon as the window comes down, all you hear is " holy fuck" and for me, that reply is enough to consider the starlet to have served its purpose.
all we say down here is "TAKE IT TO THE MOTORWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!"
hahaha
i wish i could say the same, i live in the sticks, and its 80 miles to the closest motorway haha.
