re

a little update. its looking like an inlet valve damaged. by a piece of the compressor wheel..i have a feeling the blame is going to shift over to me saying somthing has found its way through the filter!!!!!!!! Speaking to a specialist he as suggested a manefacturing fault on the comp wheel (a piece from the centre of the wheel braking off, damaging the blades and through to the inlet) Right or wrongs with this tread carfull lads. Just dont want anyone ending up with the probs i have now:-(

Idd be very surprised if its a damaged intake valve and depending on where the damage is it could or could not make more noise at higer RPM.

Do a compression test if you think you have a chipped or damaged valve.

tbh buddy it just sounds like its sucking air in i dont think theres a prob. defo not a valve damaged . u took the i/c piping off at t body and tryed it ? try blocking off the stock bov and even try blocking of the pcv pipe on the inlet side just to see

Could there be somethong stuck around the butterfly or obstructing it? Suppose you would of saw that with the ic pipe off though

re

checked all throttle body seems fine..what i do find a abit strange is when i primed the speedvision turbo's i could hold the comp wheel to stop it spining. but with my standard ct9 if i do the same.i cant hold it .nearly took my finger off.this is @ idle.im prob pulling at straws now.to try and find the problem.ive even took the ic pipe to the throttle body off and it still makes the noise??
