You have gone too far
You took too much man, too much
Too late

I am going to the shops. I want to get .... I went to the disco.

That music is too loud, you are too fat for your own good. It is too big, It is too yellow.

I found this which sort of helps

If we can ignore the muppet and get back on track for a second...

"you're" is an abbreviation of "you are".
"your" is a completely different word.

So, "you're driving" (you are driving) makes sense, "your driving" does not, but can do as part of a sentence e.g. "your driving is shit".
It amazes me how many people have seemingly never been told this.

Contractions can be a little tricky for some and is an easy mistake for many.

I personally try my best with contraction words, but don't like slagging users as many weren't taught or don't remember in order to use them.

But a good note nonetheless:)

HEY LADS,
just wanted to say that i know Mr.ONE TWO personally,I dont think its fair to quiten his opinion by banning him and continuing with the thread and speaking about him personally, and also leaving his profile public. And also to veriffy i can insure all members that his name is not ryan davis. And hopefully when ryan davis is online he will be able to prove that they are infact two completely different people.

p.s. after reading the thread in full i completly aggree with Mr. ONE TWO its an absolute disgrace WHAT DIFFERENCE DOSE IT MAKE?' GV1.3 can you please explain to everyone interested in this thread the grounds for his ban other then him making you look like a complete inconsiderate ARSE BAG.:)xxx

ah, great another one. ARSE BAG - how very creative of you. I will refrain from joining you in personal insults, its all a bit childish.

If you did indeed read the entire thread you would see why he was banned. Now please keep this thread on topic.

These are pre defined abbreviations for the site as found here

* BTW - by the way
* FYI - for your information
* IMO - in my opinion
* IMHO - in my humble/honest opinion
* LOL - laughing out loud
* ROFL - rolling on the floor laughing
* AFAIK - as far as i know
* TTYL- talk to you later
* TBH - to be honest
* OMG - oh my god
* PMSL - Piss MySelf Laughing
* U2U - User 2 User
* IIRC - If I Remember Correctly

All the above is pretty much ''TEXT SPEECH'' which has fallen into OUR dialect and made acceptable. So let's agree to disagree that we do use a moderate amount of it.

So who demands or lays the foundation to what can and can't be used. It is totally preposterous to allow some and not others when equally they are the same. Even if it's down to users discretion one might get offended or find such dialect offensive (in which case it seems to be quite evidently).

I know some people care about this more than others and I am often guilty of poor grammar and disastrous punctuation at times (I do like to use the odd ".....")

Anyway, maybe we can assist each other or merely spill our pet hates regarding poor use of the English language on the forum.

Keep it friendly.

The two things I hate most and will not even respond to anymore are:

TXT SPK - is it really that difficult to write full words? If you cannot be bothered typing the full word why do you expect anyone will be bothered typing a response!

Bought/Brought: I was thinking of making a thread just with these two words and making it a sticky. Bought is to buy something. Brought is to bring something. If you are posting a for sale thread for example and say "I just brought this from a guy last week" that is wrong. You bought it from a guy last week!

As Mark often comments on spelling I am sure there will be at least one other contributor to this thread .... but I wonder if there are any more members out there who would like to share their pet spelling/grammatical mistakes?

gv1.3...''I am often guilty of poor grammar and disastrous punctuation at times''

gv1.3 then goes on to write "I just brought this from a guy last week" that is wrong. You bought it from a guy last week!

so what your saying is that your guilty of this but yet your giving out about this, where is the sense???

also gv1.3 you forgot to finish your quote marks( do you think i should start a thread about this??)

DID YOU HAVE YOUR WEETABIX THIS MORNING....CRAZY FOOOOOOL

hmmmm.... thanks for the schooling but I think you should probably concentrate a little more on schooling yourself. The basic spelling mistakes and lack of uppercase letters is quite funny. Thanks for the giggle.

Wow you failed badly there didn't you. *slow clap*

so explain the ban and the accusement of MR.ONE TWO being two people other than similarites. i personally have a cousin that shares the same name, work for the same company and are born 2 days apart from 1 another..thers over 1.75 billion people in the world there is bound to be the odd person who shares the same name as myself.

there are actually over 6 billion people in the world.... and the two members have the same date of birth have Davis as a surname and registered from the same ISP in the Dublin area. Out of 30 people that we have who registered from that ISP 2 of them have all of this in common?

Now I will ask you one more time, politely, stick to the topic of this thread.
