so explain the ban and the accusement of MR.ONE TWO being two people other than similarites. i personally have a cousin that shares the same name, work for the same company and are born 2 days apart from 1 another..thers over 1.75 billion people in the world there is bound to be the odd person who shares the same name as myself.

i work in a college and you might not be suprised how many youngsters use
text speak in essay/ exams and wot not... they don't have any english
language skills.
i think text speak is gonna be here to stay..lol

But the above differ from the 'lazy' text speak, there abreviations so each letters a different word where as text speak's like i ws in d shp wit da g's lol.

I am not a ''txt'' user as I despise it.
But the above is fundamentally text speech made into abbreviation. I have friends who use the ''wuu2'' - what you up 2 etc.. and I hate it. Part of text speech is formed from abbreviation.
I remember walking into my local bookshop to find a ''txt'' speech mini handbook aimed for what I guess grannies/grandads to keep up with their kids/grandkinds.

Argh, the one think I hate is the lingo in corporate workplaces, especially all the abbreviations, like COP, PSA, FYI, drives me mad.
I make a point in just writing the damn words when sending an email. When I get these in an email I have to google them to work out what they are lol

Thought I'd share an old quote...
All of us mistype or misspell reasonably often, but it's the people who make no effort that bother me. I'm not going to pretend I'm great at spelling or grammar, but I will always make the effort. If people post threads consisting of "txt spk" or poor spelling than I will honestly be less inclined to respond in the first place, even if I know the answer.
I feel like deleting the people from my facebook account when I see their status as "I'm board..."
If someone says "Your rubbish!"
I'll reply "What about my rubbish?"

This is something we don't need, it might be the users fault for such misnomer but without intention.
Your job as an individual guessing you're an adult to correct the user and THEN help with requested matter or whatnot.

Well that's your opinion, but this forum is full of thousands of members who post repetative junk, question after question. The majority of these people don't even search the forums, which is completely disrespectful to the ACTUAL amount of information that is available here (Albeit masked by thousands of littering threads).
I am a memeber of other forums who don't have such a relaxed approach on the 'quality' of their member base, spelling is flagged, locations are flagged. If people can't make that effort to contribute with their best effort then they are removed.
It's not my job to correct anyone, I'm not talking about commenting in that way to one off offenders, but at one point I did care enough to nudge the ones posting rubbish.
And contribution is really what makes a forum. Reading poor threads time after time has significantly reduced my desire to come here (Other than posting this drizzle), I can't find anything remotely interesting to post, that hasn't already been said multiple times. I'm sure that's what's happened to a substancial amount of previous members.
