Red turbo civic took the turbo class beating wee john in the final. Looked to be tight as john got a big start but that civic can really go when it gets up the track a bit.
K20 yellow civic eg took the na class above 1600. Beat the nos'd ecc integra but again looked tight.
A civic vti won the na 1600 class but I'm not sure which. Was an eg I think tho.
All in all was a good day but was a bit annoyed that they didn't use the speakers more as they never told you times or which lane took the win which I thought was shocking.
Would have loved to run myself after watching all that.
bad luck with the box mate, if this was the run that you stopped just as you were getting going then that was unlucky as you looked to get off the line really well
oh and I hung around for a wile after all the head to heads had been run and they never mentioned who won overall. Ie Honda or Toyota. Did anyone catch this?

i'm guessing its 3rd gear you broke?

I tried launching from 1st (used 2nd all day) when I was going from 1st to 2nd it wouldn't go in, finally got it in then when 2nd to 3rd and did something with the clutch and 3rd gear completly destroyed itself!
In the video the car was rapidly back fireing while on boost in 3rd gear, I think the spark was blowing out, she didn't pull well at all, 4th gear worked a treat though which was running higher boost than 3rd and the nitrous was on.
Engine warning light was playing tricks on me all day, I think the knock sensor is loose. If thats not the case then god help my pistons :beer:

Not a great deal of Toyotas running tbh. Only 2 glanzas, maybe 4 r 5 gt's and an mr2 and a soarer (if that's what it was). There was a couple of others as well such as a gt4 celica whose bonnet came up half way up the strip and a real tidy supra but not a great turnout for the toyotas compared to the hondas. I may have missed some though.

Oh dear! did a driveshaft seal go on it or is it something more serious?
Was good to see you up competing, have you got the bug now? I felt kinda bad for you today, your first run ever and the opening run for the entire day, ohh the pressure lol!

i done twice my self :rockon:
now got the loan of press and trying to build one my self, also looking thru various gearboxes for thicker gears that i can use.

if you look at the 33431 c part- spacer, if to use smaller spacer or shave the original that would leave more room for thicker gear(obviously something similar will have to be done on the other shaft), not sure will it work but no harm in playing around a bit, have 6 gearboxes here so not too woried about going wrong, and in no rush for anything, so just bit of messing on the free time

Did u get any nice runs against the Hondas? Any victorys under the belt?
Have you weighed the bottle, how much did u use up? Only used 2 lbs out of mine.

I have a mate that owns a CNC engineering company with all the tasty stuff, might take a 3rd gear into him and get a custom cog made up out of something stupidly beefy.
this only theory yet, might be on to you later this year about that cnc

I'll chat to the guy tomorrow and see what he thinks, the material needed is prob quite unique. Pity I just couldn't build an MR2 box into the GT box, they're fit for 600+hp.
When you destroyed your boxes, was it always on missed gears or was it midway through 3rd while on power?
both times while on power, whats the code for mr2 turbo box? is it c series?

Not sure what the codes are for the box but the MK1 MR2 uses the same aftermarket Quiafe LSD as our motors. Though its the MK2 that supports 600hp.
Going to get my new 3rd cryo treated though and see how that goes.
