the trd quick shift was one of the first things i got for the gt, they rock, really nice quick shift and short throw and clunky sound

gaitor needs to be cut down slightly in order for it to stay in 2nd/4th/reverse

got it one

just the stock gaiter(leather surround) needs to be trimmed ever so slighty in order for it to stay in 2nd/4th/reverse

oh right, the leather part that is round the actual stick under the knob?

so what is this slight middification? :p

thanks

i never had to trim or adapt my gaitor at all, stays in all gears fine!?

as for the bushes. i think he is talking about the linkages. i replaced mine with ball bearings. also rotate your 'sugar cube' bit and that should take up your side to side play if you have any!

no play, but when i bought it i wasnt sure if it was in gear or not as there was so little movement and the gear selecta is a bit notchy

In US and other countries like Jamaica and Curacao.....they just move the ball upwards to make the throw quicker/shorter and then they shorten the stick to make the shifter a short quick shifter.
And it works the same or better then trd....but cheaper.

lol i was gonna say that.. its a waste of money to get a trd.. or C's for all that matters.. u can make it urself..

thats what we do here at least..

i have an expriance with my old honda EG useing a short shifter, i oftenly miss gear because the close gap between the gear....

i think its depend on the owner.. if he want a cool and quick shift, he can get a quick shift.. but i prefeer standard shifting.

cheers

You can only change as quick as the syncro will let you. Ive got a C's and is incredably short. I took it out when i was having troubles with my clutch and have since run a string of 11 sec passes with the stocko shifter. Its like driving a land rover :p

The trd ones a widely used over here and have a great rep for function and build quality. Apparently the gearknob gives the whole car that posh leather smell too.

mine was fitted with a quick shift when i brought it, it feels very solid and allows the gear change to click into place, as with quality i feel that it could be improved because when im changing gear hard it feels as if the stick is going to snap off in 3rd.
