Whats everyones opinion on the TRD quickshift?

Worth The Money?

Noticeable Difference?

Build Quality?

Ease of installation?

Comfortable?


Let me know because i won £250 at the gala bingo tonight, Second time there and i'm only 18! Got the full house but someone else shouted at the same time so the £500 got split between us! But enough of me and my tax free £250! Lets talk Quickshift (,")

I am interested in buying one of these so maybe dave or toby could set up a group buy or something?

One great mod, changes the whole car.
Defo worth the money
The biuld quality is like a oem part, just perfect.
Instalation takes about 15-20 mins
And it is really comfortable, the car drives like a new car again, just better :D

Agree. One of the best mods on a starlet, makes the gearbox feel like a gearbox!!

Noticeable Difference? yup ... gear throws are a tad bit shorter by prolly 35%

Build Quality? ergonomic and stylish

Ease of installation? pretty much any novice can install this ... 20mins tops

Comfortable? pretty much, gear lever is closer to the driver.

More or less like stock ones

Ease of installation?
Took me 20mins max

Comfortable?
Much shorter gear shift but gaitor is in the way when shift to 2,4 and reverse gear...but not really a problem

Is everyones experience with the TRD quickshift? I ordered a quickshift from RHDJapan, Comrade C for £87. Anyone got any experience with these short shifters?

Where did u order from, thats a good price. Does that include the TRD leather gear knob?

If you can emulate a short shift with the speed o your normal gearstick, imagine what you can emulate with the short shift (,")

Comrade C isn't bad but doesn't come with a gear knob. The TRD one is leather so your paying for this really. Both good kits and defo recommended..

is there any different companys that made quickshifts for the starlets?

as mine has a quickshift but it is taller than the TRD units?
