turbo oil return pipe issues!!!!!!

a bit lost as to what to do with this now.

i started off with a 90 degree silicone bend with the internal liner that is oil resistant. this kept leaking so replaced it with the same type of pipe. again, it started leaking.

i have now fitted a normal silicone bend and that now leaks.

the oil is seeping through the actual pipe itself. it seems better with the normal silicone pipe, but still not great.

any ideas? cant seem to find a bend in reinforced rubber like the stock type pipe anywhere!?!?

I ordered mine from viper performance. As you can order with different size on each side. So you can get the perfect oil return.

Also order 1-2mm smaller so it would be a tight fit

its the perfect side. i have tried using the original clips and jubilee type clips.

it seeps though the actual hose itself. tbh, most people probably wouldnt notice it. as the car only gets used in the dry it never gets any water on it to was any residue away.

Noticed this on a few aftermarket versions I've seen actually, not sure what the stock one is made of but it certainly doesn't seem as flexible as the silicone versions and those spring clips don't give the same tension as a jubilee clip would. Somehow it works though.

Have you checked a local hose shop? They might be able to offer something more suitable.

I use a stock one and modify the metal pipes to suit it.

I made a custom pipe for the turbo end as i thought that was the problem to begin with. Due to the position of my turbo the stock pipe doesn't have enough length.
Just need a pipe that will reliably work long term!

I might just see what I can get from the hose people we use at work. Just cant believe I have had so much trouble with the silicone pipes :-(

So do the "fluoro" lined ones seep through the actual silicon and lining too? I'd be complaining to the manufacturer if so....

They do seem too. The first one I had looked like it had a small slit internally on the lining, I couldn't be sure if it was my fault or not so couldn't do much about it.

Once the second one did it I realised they are just crap. Was a cheap eBay pipe. They don't seep until a few months after fitting so hard to send back :(

Hmmm, I'll have to keep an eye on mine then! Surely the Samco hose' with the lining would last and the cheaper brands will just copy them so I'd expect them to work!

same here. the first one was fair enough as it looked like it had a slit in the wall internally, but after the second one leaked and then the non lined one i have started too i lost patience.

if i can get a decent price for some rubber stock type ones then i may look at selling some on here so others have that piece of mind.
