Ah im going to run 2 seperate OS's on the HDD so wont be transfering anything.
If i like it ill remove Win7 put ubuntu on it fully:)

Good man :) It runs smoothly just need to get this dongle working on it so I can use the net while I wait for the net to be installed here! woop!

Sweet I'm in ubuntu now, I found like a simple obvious thing on the OS where the network connection thing is, clicked that and added UK, 3, Interenet, connected and running schweet, hopefully it don't get confused and charge me :)

Okay my next problem... how do I unlock my Western Digital Passport hdd on this? as it doesnt run .exe's? is there an xp emulator or something?

Yeah, get Wine then right click an .exe file and open with Wine. Should let you install most Windows programs.

Well I've got a Western Digital HDD that needs you to open unlock.exe enter a password and allows you to view/use your files? Inless you know a way around it?
