Need good pads standard ones a crap. Loads of fade. Using asta discs. Machined mine so the fit snug over the hubs. Didn't bother with the spigget ring it's such a good fit on the outside of the hub.

SO did find any good solution? coz I plan to increase the boost to 1 bar and NOT happy with my uprated discs and pads - I need something better - 255mm for a SPORT car - it's not serious.....

If link does not work go to tercelonline.com and do a search for celica brake swap. Scroll through the pages and look at the pictures.

You could use the st185 discs i suppose, but why make things difficult?! As well as redrilling the discs to a 4 stud, u also need a 3mm spacer inbetween the hub and the disc, you should use longer wheelstuds, and also u need to get the center bore of the disc machined cause its to small for the starlet hub. Its much less hassle to use those vauxhall discs i mentioned earlier. And get a machinist to make you the appropriate size spigot rings.

i was told the celica discs were similar bore to a starlet hub.
why 3mm spacer?
would tht be cause the celica is 25mm thick disc and vauxhalls are less 22 i think???

all i need atm is the actual celica calipers...
i emailed two guys breaking celicas and they only had calipers not the carriers,
which was a shame, so as of yet havent found a complete set of celica brakes calipers and carriers.

its all to do with centering the disc in the caliper. btw those vauxhall discs ar 25mm thick not 22mm.

ffitted st165 twin pots and discs guys.
road tested yesterday.
now pedal still little spongy at first, but very slight, and did bleeed brakes.
and even with blueprint pads, when u slam anchors on there is more force then, my standard caliper, yellowstuff pads grooved disc set up before.
and altho pads will need upgrading to some form of track pad for when i track it.
initial impressions are a worth while upgrade and definately worth it an hour and halfs work with bleeding as well.

so hunt for better pads goes on, but for road there is more braking force.
