The "big boys" use motech or hks fcon v-pro.
Apexi is ok but it's the bottom end of stand alones. Personaly i would be tempted to use an rrpfr same reason why some people say you should one with an safc. I would only trust an aeromotive or sard one tho.

choose your mapper...then choose the ecu on there recomendations ;)

too true

and previous question , i wanted my powerfc remapped as it was set up for jap fuel so iwas getting knock, and yes i am still getting knock, he had to get the lead from somewhere and when i went back he told me he hasnt got the lead.

dont go there for a remap of anything unless its european, i think he has ready made maps for near standard cars and doesnt really map on the fly,
thats my thinking anyway because fuck me hes done a shit job on my car

People have run the stock FPR on the power FC or other standalone ECU's but personally i would never put my trust in a stock FPR if i was running beyond the limits of the stock design whats the point you are opening yourself up for a downfall if that stock FPR fails.

The reason you uprate it is just like you do other parts to make it more competent and to work more efficiently with the ECU. Aftermarket FPR are designed for that purpose and for people running above the stock limits. People who choose not to uprate just open themselves up in my opinion. Of course its totally up to the people and their car what they wish to do or not to do :)

How many sard or aeromotive fprs have failed?
It only the cheap one on ebay that fail.
Apart from that does a stock one work with big (495's +) injectors?

put it this way.. i have a 7m fuel pump, 324cc injectors & whilst trying to map my emu, the car was really suffering from fuel starvation, so no matter how much i increase the duty cycle to the result was still a lean mixture...

dont forget that with alot of boost, fuel may tend to get pushed back to the pump.. im not sure why, but iv read its common occurance ..

besides for throttle response its always better to have higher than stock fuel pressure :)

Even Adam on here that had the 330hp GT was running his 5e with a stock FPR i seem to recall so its definitely do able, just personally for me anyways i wouldn't chance it.

So we have today learnt that aeromotive is the way foward. Doesn't surprize me an aeromotive is massive and heavy.
