If there was a showroom full of them I don't think I'd buy one.
As soon as you'd get out of the showroom, you'd end up passing hundreds of the same.
the appeal of them would go for me, as they'd be mainstream.
I like the mystery behind them really.
Som.
I would happily pay for a brand new totally stock mark1 ep82 GT. I don't care about the mods or how many I pass on the road. I wouldn't even worry about the depreciation. I absolutely love the ep82 and have always wanted one even before I had a licence. I may sound crazy, but who can really explain love?
I think the fact that it's had a life in another far away country appeals to me.
I look at it and think, I wish it could tell/show me where it's been.
Sounds awfully childish, but it crosses my mind all the time
As with buying it brand new, I think if Toyota produced a similar vehicle now, with as good power to weight and "pocket rocket" appeal, I'd definately be tempted, and would probably pay £12-15k for such a thing.
Greats responses
I mean no offense to our yaris/vitz owners but I have never even considered going to look at one of these from the showroom, they just dont hold any attraction for me.

Greats responses very interesting to get different individual opinions and see why people love their cars.
For me personally nothing could beat the feeling I had when I found my Glanza scruffy and rough buried behind lots of clean cars in a secondhand car dealers yard. It looked so lonely, sad and forgotten about.
When I took it out for a test drive the minute I started it up the steering wheel vibrated due to the exhaust tone and the stiff coilovers... it felt like a race car.
If it was stock I just dont think I would have fallen for it in the same way. However I remember Trevor was selling a bone stock EP not so long ago and I was so tempted by it. I think if the EP82 could be bought brand spanking new I would buy one and keep it stock for a daily driver.
