Its really insulting for real enthusiasts to spend thousands
on there pride and joy only for some uneduacated muppet to come up and say what are u doing driving that why dont u buy a real car has anyone ever experienced this or am I the only one??????

I have that too, had a lad with a 1.4 ek shape civic tell me to get a real car because he modded his to 110bhp.

Also talking about the chav types, since i have had mine 2 people who i know have brought them 1 lad wrote his glanza off and the other brought a race spec 1 thinking he'd have no problems never serviced it and 4 weeks later it died on him and crank went. Obviously it seems people buy them as a little cheap fast car to race around without reading into how tempremental a turbo car can be.

Theres to much time and effort in it, to sell it on to some twat that wont look after it.

So basically, ill be keeping for a long haul, and getting another car as a run around (2009)

Mine was taken from me! I had no choice in the matter and I can't break the addiction I had to the GT. I want me another EP!

A decade! Planning to buy another ride and convert it to my track bitch...

Same plans over here, gonna keep it as a road car for around 3 or 4 years and will buy some nice rwd runaround with not too much money in it and will be using the starlet as a track car, time attack will be popular over here i hope by then :)

had the ep91 for 7 years now, and this xmas i'm buying an ep82 as a daily, so the ep91 can be repainted and be SPOTLESS.

it already is spotless you mad Greek!

Thanks for all the votes and comments guys - poll is only open since this afternoon and has 75 votes!

Good spread of honest answers, notice how nobody has said they had a bad experience with their EP and would never ever own one again. Im sure we all have our bad experiences at some point but on the whole they are a great little car for tinkering with.

Had mine 2 years and still love it, if I was to upgrade to another car would deffo keep the starlet. :) - I'd love to find a mint MK1 and garage her for the next 10 years or so, just keep starting her up every now and again..... (damn you Jay)

i have spent far to much money and time on it to even contemplate ever selling it.

i will buy other cars in the future, but will probably be only for future family purposes

well to be fair people need to remember that 90% of them have been abused all there lives thats what there built for.

i'm sure they wouldnt be in the auction if something wasnt wrong with them, i'm sure most people in japan who had tuned starlets would have probably kept theres if they were nothing wrong

I dunno Ricky mate. We get a HUGE amount of jap import into Ireland and not just performance cars. My brother and many people I know have bought jap imports and got good quality motors. They export because there is a higher demand abroad for their motors with the likes of Aus, NZ and Irelnd to name but a few taking a large proportion of the cars at a decent price.

I got mine straight from Japan and it was A1

I had mine for 8 1/2 brilliant years and loved every minute of it. I sold her a couple of months backand unfortunately she was stolen from her new owner after 3 weeks. I'm still gutted and I'm sure John is too :(

Anyway I've moved onto an Evo 5 which is the tits:rockon::rockon:

There is no saying I won't come back to GT ownership though.
