well to be fair people need to remember that 90% of them have been abused all there lives thats what there built for.

i'm sure they wouldnt be in the auction if something wasnt wrong with them, i'm sure most people in japan who had tuned starlets would have probably kept theres if they were nothing wrong

a very good point i brought myn in mint conidition 6 mnths dwn the line the engine went since then iv had new engine and major service on whole car and its mint it hold its own very well and for 110 a year in tax lmfao its joke my bmw was over 350 so starlets are a good cause broke or not once there setup correctly there mint

sorry, i should have said performance imports.

generally "normal" cars are fine.

it's very easy to make a car to look good and "mint"

i personally know very few people that havnt had problems with there performance imports.

my point is that i can understand why people get the hump with there cars and then decide to say never again.

i personally thank both my starlets for causing me lots of aggravation and givving me "more than the norm" ammount of problems, as i have learnt and done so much that 2 years ago i wouldnt even have dreamed of

lol.. got ya Ricky..
I know what you mean. To be honest Id say my Glanza had the arse driven off it in Japan but luckily I have had no issues with it. I have heard some horror stories though. Then you get some real minters. My bros B4 Legacy is a total stunner of a car but its bone stock and looks like just rolled out of a showroom.

The little bits Ive had to do with my car now have been interesting and it kind of turned into a hobby more than a car... its like a big hotwheels :)

I have never felt the rath of power from the allmighty 4e-FTE, as im only still on the 4e-fe until insurance wouldn't rip me off.

Defo i will get a V in the near future, and keep it forever!

I will never sell. Mine is at the body shop for a respray. I still go every evening to turn the motor over. I can't wait to drive "sabastien" again.

:):)You only have to take a look at the cars I have driven and the EP is the most fun for the £££££££££££'s :):):)

I had my GT for about a year and moved on to sample rwd once i had got the power up to the 150bhp mark.

I still fancy another EP as a daily driver. Will definitely be looking into it when the financial climate sorts itself out and I can actually store my MR2 somewhere during the week!

Will always have my EP. Have considered selling it and buying one with all the work already done but cant bring myself to sell it. Ive done all the work on it so it'll always be more mine than if I bought another, if ya know what I mean!lol

I've had mine for just over a year now.

I might be tempted by something else in a year or two when insurance will be cheaper and I'll hopefully be earning a bit more. Another better condition / lower mileage EP to mod up would be just as likely though.

the EP is my 2nd/weekend car have had it since late 2005, but it's been in the 'family' since around 1999. i will keep it for the forseeable future, unless it breaks again in which case it'll be out on it's arse with an NA lump in it ;)

Im going to be honest guys, i was actually tempted to sell on the 3sGT and build my EK9 to a 250HP race spec car/ gearing etc etc........

Went home, as soon as i saw it again i just crumbled, thought to myself what the fuck was i even thinking. Because it has been off road for soo long ive lost a little love, and this EK9 is such a bloody good car its trying to force me away, but its no good, i phisically cannot sell the GT.

So with time and patience im going to build up the starlet to a drag spec 400bhp+ and build up the EK9 to a hardcore street/track spec with a 250bhp build N/A motor with shorter gearing to my spec.....

Just alot of time and patience...........
