Do love my car tho and your only young and stupid once :D

You hit the nail on the head!!

When I was in the Navy I earned about 32k a year at sea the day I left I owed over 20k all I had to show for that what bad kidneys lol (I have to joke other wise I would cry)

I worked my ass off doing 3 jobs and in just over a year all I had was 5k I did not think that was too bad.

Now I owe money again, I could pay it off and quickly if I really wanted as by the end of next week I will have paid out nearly 3k on the GT that’s 3k that I worked for not using a loan or card. I saved it in about 4 months I think just goes to show if you want something bad enough you can do it..

At least with my car I get something out of it, I don’t smoke well unless she over heats, I hardly ever drink now so I guess its all relevant my mates spend £40-60 in a weekend on drink I spend about that on fuel and to be fair as much as I bitch about my car I love every second of it :)

i owe 88k on a mortgage for a flat and i have a 3k loan for the glanza! At the end of the day, once the money has come out its gone and you learn to live without it!

I dont understand people that save for a rainy day that may never come. You could be wiped from the face of the earth tomorrow and not had anything that you really wanted to buy or do.
As long as you debt is under control thats the main thing.
I have always said that the last cheque I write is going to bounce.

I know what your saying about saving for a rainy day, i dont do that but people do live till they are very old, if i was in a simaliar situation to what iam in now in say 40 years that would be wank, at the minute iam just living for now, what spare money i do get now is mainly to feed my cinema habbit. I dont drink or smoke

I daren't even think about the debt I'm in... A combination of being a student for 7 years and modifying minis has left my wallet well and truly bleeding!

I just hope all that studying will eventually land me a well paid job ;)

I think it’s too easy to get in to trouble now.

I can remember getting my first mortgage 5 years ago before everything went mad, I have a massive deposit and I only wanted to borrow 54k because I had only just turned 18 I had to have my farther stand as granite and come with me to the bloody bank!!

I could not even get a CC back then and earned a lot of money… not I earn F all and I get things offered to me left right and centre.

I think its good to have some money put away… this time last year I had just spend out a lot on the GT getting to 1bar and having coilovers then by Christmas I lost my job! I am extremely luck as I had my father there if I needed help I would never let that happen again. I always have a months worth of bill put to one side just in case.

Now I am hoping to be done with the GT in terns of moding I will be putting more money away ready to pay for a nice holiday or in a few months time when I know I will not have a job again.

Worst thing that i find is when you get any extra money or income something else always pops up that swallows it up. Like when i eventually didnt have to pay for my sons childcare anymore coz he is now going to a school, something then popped up which needed the money i use to pay for the childcare on something like the mortgage or the gas etc .

I thought all employers had to off a pension??

I have got my MOD one that if it ever pays out will be worthless and I also have a Privet investment scheme. It’s not really a pension plan as such as I just get one pay out at the end of the term.

Well i told myself come the next tax year i will start paying into a tesco one, 'apparantly' its one of the best ones you can get but god knows if thats true or not. Im going to have to read up and maybe get some advice from a third party.

No idea, I asked when I started and she said that they didnt.

Rather invest my money tbh well once I have an actual £1spare or so each month.
