Its a local derby thing really, but on a slightly bigger scale.

I dont hate Hondas or the people who drive them, but love giving out a bit of stick now and again so they will do until a more accomodating client comes along lol.

LOL if your joking then that was hilarious... but if your serious, well dont feel like that dude, we dont mean no harm, just some of us arent big honda lovers or fans, its nothing personal at all. few guys on here really know their hondas, think rory some other guys are well clued up on them etc,

No I was not joking mate! It has just got out of hand and out of control. Worst one was when I submitted pics of my FN2 when I got it and I had loads of really negative comments which sucked. I understand there is a little rivary but sometimes on here its taken too far and last few weeks vtec seems to be getting more and more slammed. I understand there is a bit of banter but others take it too far

I dont think you can compare them really because they drive completey differently than a turbo'd car as im sure ctr timmy and other honda owners can confirm that.
People should be comparing a starlet to a similar turbo'd car imo anyway

I agree with this they are completly different cars! And i have never seen someone on here say they can beat a bike! Yes it takes awhile for the vtec to kick in and yes they are not as torquey as the GT's but its a completly different set up!

true timmy though i think in your thread it was people just being mean and saying things that you dont want to hear when youve just bought a new car, like, its nothing compared to the older models and its slow/boring compared to its jap sec equvilent. whether those comments are 100% bang on or not it still dont make great reading for the person who feels like they've just wasted a bucket load of cash :/ that was more a honda employee comparing the new to the old and saying the new was poor.

between starlets and hondas, the rivalry is natural favouring us as we find it funny that its not impossible to outrun alot of hondas in our 1.3t trolleys! whereas the honda boys are 99% n/a shouldnt be compared to a turbo'd cars no matter engine size which is fair enough. dont take it to heart dude.

As people keep on saying evryone is welcome on this forum, so it should be regardless of what you drive or your opinions and i dont think its fair that he feels that way. But people will have a biased opinion because its a toyota forum but theres no need for him to feel like he carent be on the forum

Phil - I not taking it too heart but I think enough is enough TBH. Yes it is banter but people take it too far and think the mods should have stepped in sooner. There are few people on here that have vtec powered cars and would love to know there feelings on this. I hope its not just me thinking this

Anytime mate i just dont think its fair for members to get shot down as soon as they say vtec is good or they own a honda, its an opinion end of.
Still dont think they're remotely comparable
