no the vga and dvi ports are video only so unless you want to go hacking up cables or that i would just forget about the cable you got and get the xbox one

it has the xbox side which plugs into your xbox, the vga that goes to your monitor, left and right audio for speakers/hifi

if you dont have on get one cause you can use your xbox then on any vga monitor and it doesnt have to be hdcp

at least you will have sound then!

let just hope the cable doesnt blow the resistor capacitor of the monitor when you connect up for the first time

yeah as long as it has red/white audio connections , audio in like a aux you should be fine
