(ZEP ECU!) Going for RR soon, what do we think i'll get?

Well the injectors shouldnt be a problem with the ecu but they might be, but the rrfpr will def confuse it. Unless you set the rrfpr to slightly under stock pressure and see how the afr is.

I'd just recommend just putting standard injectors (they wont be maxed) and stock fpr tbh.

If you did that, id say about 210-215

is that 210 or 215 :p

No - they told me to take it in mid this week. Grrrr was hoping to have it done by this weekend for a run i'm going on but this looks unlikely now! I will keep you all updated!

Ok so the results are interesting i think!

Firstly, before (at 0.6 bar) it was running 150bhp, which is staggeringly low for how fast it feels and was... anyway, put it up to 1bar and checked the fueling's ok (he said its not as perfect as what a live map could achieve but it's definately healthy) and it achieved.... 204.1bhp and 218nm torque. I must say i'm a little disappointed that it didnt break 210bhp.

I'll get the graph uploaded as soon as i can, but interestingly ( is this because of the ZEP ecu raising the rpm limit?) the power peak is at 7455rpm... is this what you'd expect? it doesn't drop ridiculous amounts after that either,. they tested it up to 7835rpm, at which point it was still making just under 200bhp.

Question is... is that the ZEP ecu which actually isn't that good in this example? Or could there be some other trick i'm missing? Will the graph help you answer that question?? lol...

Help is hugely appreciated guys, i want to get 220bhp so if there's no real problem with the setup then maybe i should consider piggy back solution... :( ( :( because its money!)

if this is the same as jam or blitz it trims the fuel after aroubd 300 miles or so, i found mine to run crap at 1st but after a a full tank of petrol the differance was amazing

Interesting point, i'll be taking it back for another run on the dyno in about 3 weeks time so i'll find out then!

I'll get the stats up, maybe the AFR is actually not good and causin the power to bog down a bit? dunno, anyway when my dad gets off his PC i'll scan them in! :)

youre zep ecu will run safer than whats possible with emanage. you could achieve 20 or more horses extra with an optimum tune. for plug and play electronics thats a decent result tho. bet it feels pretty quick on the road.
what was your afr again?

So in conclusion, are we saying keep the ZEP and get emanage as well? (and keep injectors and map to suit?)... or go back to stock and get it properly mapped on emanage when i've got the money?

I wouldn't know how quick it feels because i was drivin thru inches of snow :-D

when youre ready sell the zep and get emanage, if youre only gonna gain 20 horsepower then maybe better to forge it and make it worth your while

I'll stick with stock internals because it was only rebuilt 4000 miles ago, lol. I wanna achieve c220bhp with it running safely and all fine and dandy then sell it on later this year to a nice caring owner who'll carry on the legacy :)
