ZEP Racing Track Cars Spotted in Okayama

On the way to Round 4 D1 GP in Okayama we decided to call up our good friend from ZEP Racing, Mikamoto-san. Mikamoto-san is the owner, tuner and everything behind ZEP Racing. Mikamoto-san was kind enough to go along with us to the circuit which was approximately 3 hours away from Sakai-City in Osaka. As we arrived early in the morning, he took us to his garage at Okayama. As this is his home circuit, he had two of his race prepped Starlets in the garage. As there are many people who wanted to see his vehicles he allowed us to take some pictures

The vehicles have not been driven much this year however Mikamoto-san will be back on the track in the near future with some of the new products that he has been developing in response to our customers requests. Please stay tuned for some more niche Starlet parts from ZEP Racing/RHDJapan!

i remember reading somewhere that mr zep detuned his starlet as it was to powerful and kept snapping driveshafts ot something.

they do look cool, and nice to see that "restrictive" efi pipe being used ;)

What!? I can't believe I didn't see them I was at the D1 on both days. Are his cars just kept in the garages in the pitlane? What day was it that you got to have a peek at them?

Nice pics but I'm gutted I was there and didn't see it!!!:flame:

Ppl always tell us the mani we have is no good, its a jam one, but they (whoever built the car at JAM) thought it was good enough.

The cars are not garaged inside the track. There are a couple of different rental facilities around the track where his machines were stored. There is a event on July 13 at Fuji Speedway that we have been invited to by ZEP. ZEP will be testing some new products that we have requested for him to make in response to our Starlet customers.

Ah right thats why I missed them then, if I was still in japan I would have loved to come along, but unfortunately I'm back in the boring UK.:(

Some interesting parts used on that car there, nice to see the radiator setup, much better setup compared to our half size civic radaitors.

Also I'm considering a trip over there sometime need to organise afew friends to come over with me would be good to meet everyone.

There are several different products that are currently undergoing testing. If they prove to ZEP that they are worth manufacturing then they will undergo this process. Sorry but we cannot disclose what the parts are.
